21.01.2022 An incredible TEEN program (ages 13-16) running in Mount Barker for Semester 1 2021! NDIS FUNDING MAY BE USED WHERE THE PROGRAM MEETS WITH PARTICIPANTS GOALS. W...e have four spaces left for our Teen program. What's The Buzz? is an evidence-based fun and interactive Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program. The aim of ‘What’s the Buzz?’ is to teach children how to think, manage themselves, respond and how to better relate to others in social situations. It is proving itself with amazing results with kids throughout the world (including our own children who have attended WTB classes both at their schools and in Adelaide!) . What’s the Buzz? is a unique sixteen lesson social skills enrichment program which uses lively stories, role plays and play based programs to encourage children to think about how to get along with others and explore the benefits of developing new social skills. In an encouraging and safe group environment, we discover everyday themes such as how to greet, make and keep friends, fit in, read one’s own emotions, read the feeling of others, deal with competition and cope with worry, frustration and disappointment more constructively all while building trust and friendship within the circle. . We also incorporate 2 unique 'Nature Based' sessions at our base at Leading Change Experiences, where the participants are able to practice integrating the skills they learn in their Buzz sessions in a new environment focussing on mindfulness, connection with nature and well being. These 2 extra sessions are unique to the Adelaide Hills/Fleurieu WTB program. . We are running our 18 session program for teens (ages 13+). We also do 2 parent information sessions throughout the program duration. . NDIS Funding may be available for Self and Plan Managed Participants, where the program meets with the participants short term or long term goals. For more information please check out our FB page, or we have more details on our webpage: http://www.whatsthebuzzadelaidehills.com.au/ . Jess Keenan and Lauren Tydeman x

01.01.2022 Celebrating a life extraordinary! Today would have been Dr Catherine Hamlin’s 97th birthday. Catherine dedicated her life to the women of Ethiopia; working ti...relessly for decades to improve maternal health care across the country and to give women love, hope and the opportunity to regain their lives. Our extraordinary Ethiopian medical professionals, many of whom trained under Catherine, continue to carry her torch and vision to find and treat every woman with an obstetric fistula injury. We are so proud of what they have achieved over the past year. Catherine, we won’t stop until fistula is eradicated from Ethiopia altogether.
