20.01.2022 Art Holiday Workshop. Zoo Art Studio is running an art workshop on Thursday January 21 from 1pm to 5 pm. The workshop will be suitable for all primary and high school aged children. We will be doing drawing and/or painting. Drawing will be in grey lead or coloured pencil; painting will be in acrylic, water colour or soft pastel. Drawing will be from a reference or from your child's imagination. Please bring a reference picture if you have one you would love to draw. All styl...es will be encouraged from realistic drawing to manga or street art. The workshop will provide a fun encouraging and positive atmosphere for learning potentially lifelong skills. All materials will be supplied. Please wear old clothes. Please bring a bottle if water and nut free snacks. 18.01.2022 ZOO ART STUDIO Hey Everyone, Children's art classes are to resume for term 2 this Thursday April 22nd. We currently have a few spots still open for primary or high school aged children. The program is modified for each child's ability and interest, all high school aged students will follow a slightly advanced program.... At Zoo Art Studio everyone is welcome. We provide a fun, inclusive and supportive environment to all students where they can build skills for life. This term we will be using grey lead, pencils, pastels, watercolours, acrylics and ceramics. All materials are provided. When: Classes run on Thursday's 3.45-5.20pm. DRAWING; Learn skills to confidently produce drawings you love. Classes would suit beginner to intermediate level. We will discuss the elements of drawing technique to boost your ability and understanding of drawing. Complimentary tea and coffee, Draw and chat with like minded artists. Basic drawing materials supplied. Cost is $30 per session or $100 for a block of four classes to be used anytime until September. CERAMICS; From sculpture to slab pot's, unleash your creativity with this wonderful earthy 3D art medium. I love ceramics so much, it was my entry into art. There is so much potential and possibility, Suit beginner to intermediate. There will be time for most people to produce a piece of work such as a glazed bowl or small sculpture at each session so this is a great opportunity to create handmade gifts or homewares. We focus on a number of different mediums including drawing, painting and ceramics. Teaching is tailored to meet the needs of each students. 12.01.2022 Children's art classes at Zoo Art Studio are restarting for 2021 this Thursday February 4. This term we will be drawing using grey lead, soft pastels, charcoal, and quality coloured pencils. We will be painting using watercolours and acrylics and, for those who wish to paint on canvas, we will be learning technique for this also. We will also be doing sculpture pottery and ceramics... We will draw still life through to Manga, animation and street art. Classes are positive fun and encouraging. Meet like minded friends and create. Practicing art can increase concentration and provide a lifelong skill. All materials supplied except canvases- should your child be interested in painting on canvas.
