23.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be. We at Zoodoo would like to recognise the traditional owners of the land the Zoo was founded on, the Palawa people of Lutruwita, and the Merrimenner people of the Oyster Bay territory. We pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging. The theme of this NAIDOC Week is Always Was, Always Will Be. Recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have occupied and cared for this land for ove...r 65,000 years. We are constantly inspired by the First Australian's connection to native animals and landscapes and shall continue to educate ourselves on this vital culture and incorporate traditional stories into the future vison of Zoodoo. #NAIDOC2020

Bird species spotted include Spotted Pardalote (Pardalotus punctatus), Striated Pardalote (Pardalotus striatus), Silvereye (Zoster...ops lateralis), Superb Fairywren (Malurus cyaneus) and more.
