25.01.2022 Does it frustrate you that every time you open a door your dog pushes past you to rush into the room? For dogs, the opening of a door leads to a very long list of exciting things a walk, a visitor, dinner and much more! Teaching your dog to wait at a door for the cue to enter into a room or go through a doorway can be an effective way to help your dog to understand impulse control. This can also be useful for times of getting in and out of the car, before feeding or at any time you need your dog to wait for just a moment. Hit like or comment below if this resonates with you?

21.01.2022 What are you planning on teaching your dog this weekend? Will it be a complex skill or a fun trick? Whichever you do, have fun and enjoy the time spent with your dog! If you do train your dog I would love you to share your pictures or videos below.

20.01.2022 SPRING IS HERE! Spring would have to be one of the most gorgeous times of the year. The birds are singing, flowers are blooming and the sun is shining. This is the perfect time to enjoy training and spending time with your dog outside. I know I will be...

19.01.2022 How nice is a nice walk along the beach or perhaps you would prefer to sit on the lounge with a good book? Just as we have different preferences on our favourite treats, dogs are similar. One dog would do anything for a piece of cooked chicken, whilst others would do anything for a good old tennis ball covered in dog slobber! Choosing the right treat/reward for your dog is beneficial for getting the best results out of your training sessions and reinforcing your dog for the desired behaviour. What is your dogs’ favourite treat?

09.01.2022 Does your dog like strangers? I spent some time with Honey today after her owner contacted me as she doesn’t like anyone coming into the house who are not part of her immediate family. By the end of our session today this was the outcome. From a dog who was barking at me upon arrival and wouldn’t come near me to sitting on my lap allowing me to give her pats. Her owner said this is the first time that Honey has ever sat on someone’s lap outside her family.... With the right small steps, we have great outcomes. If you or someone you know needs help with their dog, please contact us.
