25.01.2022 Too good not to share!

15.01.2022 Sunday 13 September is National Bilby Day. National Bilby Day provides an opportunity to recognise this iconic desert-dwelling marsupial. Once widespread acros...s Australia, threats like predation from foxes and cats, habitat loss, and more frequent fires have dramatically reduced the Bilby’s range to 20 per cent of its original distribution. These ‘ecosystem engineers’ play an important role in the management and rejuvenation of the soil, creating miniature compost heaps and aerating the soil. A single Bilby can turn over up to 20 tonnes of topsoil in a year. The Bilby is one of 20 priority mammals targeted for recovery under the Australian Government’s Threatened Species Strategy. Over the last 12 months, actions to help in its recovery have included reintroductions in NSW, controlling feral predators, and work by Indigenous rangers to monitor and protect Bilbies across their range. You can read more about the Bilby and other Australian mammals here: https://www.environment.gov.au//threatened-species-strateg

Take time to make wiser choices as we as a community have the buying power to make the world a safer place by the choices we make.

01.01.2022 By 2050 Earthwatch reports there will be more plastic then fish in our oceans. Everything we do matters. Caring for the environment is a lifestyle decision, not just a choice here and there. Commercial ventures use a lot more plastic then the everyday person, therefore your decisions as a business owner can make an greater difference and use your efforts in your marketing to encourage your patrons to step up their efforts to create a cleaner world.
