24.01.2022 Hello, my name is Zygy Barratt. I enjoy exploring and expressing a sense of presence through my drawings, paintings and sculptures. I use humour, colour and movement in my work, absorbing imagery from my natural environment particularly animals that I know, my life by the sea especially surfing, and traditional and personal mythology to create an evolving visual language.

14.01.2022 Introducing our beautiful Greyhound Merlin and his best friend Dolly our bantam chook. Dolly was the last of our little flock and was all alone in the backyard until after many months I coaxed her up the back steps and onto the deck and then into the house... at the same time as I was getting a greyhound, I thought oh maybe I've made a big mistake! But Merlin is a wonderful person and Dolly loves him and has welcomed in him into her life as part of her flock and she follows... him everywhere and cuddles up against him and he is so gentle with her and it's just a beautiful thing to see them together and that's been for 18 months now. When he's at home they are just always together. I got Merlin from a local trainer and I did explain to him that I had an indoor chook and indoor birds so I was going to need a special Greyhound and he said merlin was the one. When I did bring Merlin home we had some weeks months of adjustment. I kept him with a muzzle on while he got to know Dolly and we got to know him it didn't really take very long but I did have to do that for awhile then we just turned the corner and she was part of his pack and he was part of her flock she was thrilled to have another flock member and they haven't looked back he's been great.

08.01.2022 Steve off for a surf at Shelley's beach!
