25.01.2022 After The Rain.

23.01.2022 This Afternoons sunset shrouded in smoke. With Bush fires being close to us, its been a worrying time for us all, and horrific for some poor souls near by, Homes lost and lives effected. We deal with this stuff every year somewhere if not everywhere in Australia, we stick together, we rebuild, we push on through any adversity, We are Australians!!!!!! A very sincere thanks goes out to all the Fire Services and support staff from all branches of our First Responders, True heroes...as simple as that!!!!

21.01.2022 Canada, Gorgeous one minute about to kick your ass the next! My friends there told me " If you don't like the weather right now, just wait 5 minutes" and my god did it change. We watched this storm front roll in over the mountains at Swan Landing near Brule, Alberta. AMAZING!!!

17.01.2022 On my travels today searching for some photo opportunities, I came across a group of Sulphur Crested Cockatoo's darting around making a hell of racket swooping and squawking about, being a distance from them I broke out the 500mm lens to grab some shots, I took a few and moved in a little closer to them, It was then that I thought to myself "These buggers can see a Wriggly Stick in that grass" and being that I'd seen an Eastern Brown Snake Yesterday nearby I was concerned tha...t the Cockatoo's could see this venomous Stick and I couldn't. Just then out of the long grass came the biggest Lace Monitor I've ever seen! Now growing up in the Northern Territory I've seen the enormous Perentie Lizards, but this Goanna or Tree Goanna as their known was massive, These monitors are carnivorous and have sharp teeth and claws and can reach 8 feet in length and weight in excess of 20 kilograms, this one was at least 7 feet and a bulky boy or girl, I was relieved it wasn't a fang equiped stick but these lizards if scared or distressed will climb up a human thinking your a tree to get to safety and as you can see by the claws it would be extremely painful to have one climb you, not only that but the powerful tail can really pack a wallop and give you a wake up call. Anyway, He of She wandered off by me within a few feet and into the bush, just another reason I love this area and Australia, a beautiful animal to see and capture. :) See more

14.01.2022 G'day! So on the weekend just gone Jess and I headed down to Cataract Dam NSW to check it out, you can walk the length of the dam wall and really get a great view of the surrounding area, the dam took 5 years to complete from 1902 to 1907 and its an amazing piece of engineering! You can really see the pride and artistry that went into it, cut out of stone and and each piece placed meticulously, even the capping stones and decretive stone look amazing. Water is constantly rele...ased as its a requirement that the river post dam is keep flowing at all times, even though we are in drought and water restrictions apply this is a must! The dam is very low at 26.5% capacity which is a bad thing, the water below 15% I'm told is un usable due to the muck that builds up at that level so we are very low on water here so please use water sparingly as ever drop counts. You can see the tree line around the dam in a couple of shots, this is the high water line so its easy to see how low the levels are. We even saw the native Waratah flower, the official emblem and flower of New South Wales. A great place to visit and see, go check it out. On our travels we even came across a very friendly pig that came up to greet us and oink away, Sir Oinks-a-lot followed us about for a while but gave up when no food was on the menu. :) See more

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, Well I finally got to get into to the old Dairy Farmers Rotolactor yesterday and have a look around, thankfully the Wriggly stick that was guarding the entrance had moved on so I could get in, the old place is bad shape with the almost all the roof caved in now, its a bit of a mine field in there and nature has started to reclaim the place. Everything is still easy to see and the rotating table where the cows stood is largely in tact and undamaged, its was cool to see and it would have been quite something to see and watch in the day. If any of you would like to go there or do go there please be aware that due to the hot weather fang equipped sticks are about and the Browns are pretty aggressive so be prepared, wear decent clothes and shoes, maybe even take a snake bite kit just in case. But don't let that stop ya !! :)

11.01.2022 "The Thin Unknown Ribbon" A message to my Loved ones and friends At the beginning we are cast out and set upon the ribbon, A thin ribbon we all must travel along, doing our best to get from here to what seems like just over there in the grand scheme of things. No one knows what obstacles, challenges or adversity lay around the next bend or over that hill, or even if the ribbon, the Rail we rocket along will even be there. But just like time itself, we continue to roll alon...g the ribbon. Past lives, loves, enemies and tribulations even so much as a nano second ago are but a distant washed out blur behind us. And the blur before contains the destiny the ribbon has set aside for each and every one of us. However, the view at our feet just ahead of us is the here and now, it is vivid and as sharp as the surgeon's scalpel by contrast. Everything here and now is what counts, its where we need to "Lay Sand" to help arrest the slipping wheel, to find the traction we all need to lift the load. It is here standing on the ribbon that we have the chance to dream, to believe in hope and each other, right here we see down low, the chairs, the saddles and ties that join us amongst the rubble and debris. Some of us fall along the way, stopped in their tracks by a ribbon that has no want need or inclination to change its one track mind, for those of us who remain on the ribbon the signal remains a solid green and full throttle is still engaged, advanced wide open. When we look to the left or the right we are able to see the others riding the ribbon, the ties between us although in many cases whether forged of steel or the hardest material, require respect, love and work, maintenance if you will to maintain the gauge that keeps us all and especially the ones we love upon the ribbon and not in the rubble just millimetres each side of it. The ribbon has no return ticket, no turntable at the destination for us to turn "The Movement " around and head on back, once we arrive there we have to step off the foot plate, and hand it over. Just like in the picture, the here and now shows the focus, where we all currently are, this IS the time of our lives, time we were generously given by who or god knows what. It is here we can unlock the dreams and thoughts we all long to realise with the help and support of our friends and love ones as we would want to help them. The waves of the past are but the wake of a ship that have already made land, the future is a complete mystery, focus now! be diligent on task, always be humble and kind and be there in the here and focused on helping your mate, never be afraid to offer a helping hand and knowing full well the uncertainty of all this, show the children just set upon this ribbon the lessons you have learnt, guide and help the next in line. 11.01.2022 Hi! Well Jess and I and the family had a fun day at the races for Golden Eagle Day a few bets, Jess had a win too. As much as I enjoyed myself in the atmosphere I just had to get the camera out a grab a few shots. :)Australian Turf Club Rosehill Gardens RacecourseRosehill Gardens

06.01.2022 With all the fires around lately, there's been some unusual animal activity. there's been a Collared Sparrowhawk living in our front tree, A beautiful raptor.

05.01.2022 On a very rainy day, I caught steam locomotive 2705 pulling the grade toward Couridjah from Thirlmere NSW heading to Buxton on the weekend steam train excursion. The 27 class is owned operated byTransport Heritage NSW and works out of the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere NSW.

03.01.2022 It sure was nice to get my supporters Certificate from the New South Wales Police Association. I'm proud to support them. All be it taking photos

01.01.2022 Today I headed out to Menangle despite the 40c Degree heat to take some shots of the old Camden Park Estate Creamery (Dairy Farmers). Its amazing to think that a lot of passers by don't even know what's in there and its only a stones throw literally from the station. The place is very run down now and idiots have been in there damaging the place and dumping crap which is a real shame giving the rich heritage of this area but the hype suggests that two developers are planning ...to turn the area into a restaurant and Entertainment district instead of knocking the old place down which is fantastic if that's the case, it was a huge part of the Agriculture and Primary Industry here in the Macarthur Region and the rotating Dairy was ahead of it's time and a huge technological leap for Dairy Farming. Although close to others, when you step inside its like another world in there and to be honest a bit creepy with a lot of bangs, clangs, creaks and other noises from the buildings..or whatever, I didn't actually go into the Rotolactor today as while I was shooting I did notice near the entrance to it there was a wriggly stick warming up & where there's one wriggly stick you'll find other wriggly sticks !! I was hoping when I checked my photos later I wouldn't see any shadowy figures in windows either, Bullet dodged there. :)Theres a few pics here of the Dairy back In the day, The photos are courtesy of the Belgenny Farm Trust and the pics inside the Rotorlactor are courtesy of The New South Wales Government Office Of Environment and Heritage .
