24.01.2022 We here at 2nd Toowoomba Scouts just want to send out a big thank you to our loyal customers. Without you our fundraising efforts would be in vain. One of our biggest local scouting events Night Hawk is coming up and as a consequence there will be a few weekends off from firewooding. Now we do still have a couple of loads available for delivery tomorrow, if youre interested. Otherwise our next scheduled delivery date will be Sunday 20th August. 21.01.2022 At the moment were delivering every second weekend. Our next deliveries will be on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of June. $140 for a load of hardwood cut split delivered & stacked (if we can back a trailer to near where you want it). We also have large bags of pine kindling available for $5 which supports the Toowoomba City Mens Shed. Any questions or orders, feel free to message or email.
20.01.2022 People often ask how much wood do you get? Well here's a photo of a load we delivered and stacked last weekend. We use a 7.5 x 5 foot trailer. Now we're booked up for our next day of deliveries and are taking orders for the 9th of June. Send me a message to book your load.
20.01.2022 So the temperature dropped a few degrees and the orders rolled in. So now we're booked out for deliveries on the 12th of May and we're taking orders for the 26th of May. Also our AGM had to be postponed for a few weeks due to technical issues and therefore our firewood raffle has been extended as well. (To a date yet to be decided.) Tickets are still available at 3 for $5. You can either PM me to organise direct deposit or drop into Gareth Edwards Optometrist in Russell Street to get tickets. They tell me the odds are favourable so get some tickets before it's too late. Wouldn't that be a great load..... Don't forget we have big bags of kindling which support the Toowoomba City Mens Shed for $7.50. Many people get 2 bags of Kindling for $15 with their first load and it lasts them for the season.

Once it gets cold well be pretty busy so nows the time to check your firewood pile. We planning on fortnightly deliveries again this year. $140 per trailer load delivered and stacked. 14.01.2022 Its that time of year again and shortly well be back into firewood deliveries. This year were kicking it off with a raffle. We have a trailer load of firewood up for grabs. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. PM me if you want direct deposit the money or alternatively they are available from Gareth Edwards Optometrist 113 Russell Street. It will be drawn at the 2nd Toowoomba Scouts AGM scheduled for May 3rd. This year well be charging $140 for a trailer load of good hardwood delivered in Toowoomba, most of which is iron bark. And well have big bags of pine kindling from the Mens Shed for $7.50.

07.01.2022 Well this coming weekend is looking much better for doing fire wood. The aim is for Saturday afternoon after about 2:45pm if you want to collect. But we are going to busy with several loads to deliver. And volunteers a bit thin on the ground due other Scouting commitments. We may even end up having to return on Sunday to finish off the deliveries. If you want a load either collected or delivered please send me an email also if you want kindling let me know as well. Coll...ected $100 Delivered $125 (Toowoomba) Kindling $5 a bag Good idea if you can give me an idea on how big you want your biggest logs so we can try to accommodate. We dont want to deliver logs that simply wont fit in your fire. We always try to give you a mix of sizes. So keep the home fires burning and support our Scouts and Mens Shed. The wood is mixed hardwood, usually iron bark or box. If we can easily back a trailer to near where you want it well help you stack it. Nows the time to start getting your orders in as deliveries will start in the coming weeks.

04.01.2022 Well while rain is always welcome. I could think of better things to do while its raining than load fire wood. So were postponing the collection day this weekend. We should be able to do it next weekend. Ill keep you posted. On another note were thinking the delivery option might be a goer. So heres the low down. $100 a load collected from Westbrook.... $125 delivered within Toowoomba City. All proceeds go to 2nd Toowoomba Scouts. We are also working with the Toowoomba City Mens Shed and have bags of recycled pine kindling for sale $5 per large onion bag full. Thats great value with all proceeds going to the Mens shed. If you have special needs in terms of size of fire wood, eg for a pot belly stove, let me know and Ill see what we can do. 02.01.2022 Well be delivering again this Sunday. The weather has been nice and warm for a few days now which was fantastic for the Scouts doing Nighthawk last weekend. But the forecast is for it to get pretty chilli by the weekend. Secure your load early by ordering now. $140 for a good sized load of split hardwood. Dont forget kindling for $7.50 a bag.
02.01.2022 We had another great day of deliveries yesterday. Thats earned us enough for the 2 gazebos with side walls. Thanks to everybody whos ordered a load so far. Keep those orders coming the next thing on our wish list is a new Queensland pitch tent which the Scouts use for their Standards competition.
