24.01.2022 Have been spending a bit of time lately track testing to get a baseline for jetting and powervalve adjustment on the new 2018 Ktm 85sx. These newly designed Ktm 85 engines so far seem to be a good thing with a bit of tuning. Next week on the Dyno and start testing, modding barrel, carby, pipes, ignition etc Thanks to Ruben Schifke R06 for the loan of his bike

Highly sought after these models are not made anymore and for those that have ridden one know exactly what I'm talking about!With the near power of a 250 with the lightweight and handling of a 125! The bike is Road registrable!!!... 2014 KTM 200exc Electric start Standard engine with oval-bored Keihin 36x39mm Carby These bikes are weapons!!! Bike has 206 hrs of use 5000km approx since new The bike has a damaged gearbox and engine is stripped to be repaired approx $700-$800 in parts required or buy a complete second hand gearbox from $150-$450 approx Crankshaft barrel cases and rest of engine all good except for gearbox Expansion chamber, there are two of but bit banged up? Complete bike but could do with some new plastics and a quick tidy up( brake pads, chain,sprockets, bearings) Approx $500-$600 For those that are mechanically minded this would make an excellent cheap project. 19.01.2022 Big shout-out to Darren Lee Trac-Rite Suspension for definitely going out of his way to help myself and my son Luke out! Darren has been helping us out over the last 12 months with our suspension on Luke’s MX bikes. With wanting to start the year fresh, I was organising to go to Victoria to get our suspension modified and set-up for the new race season. I rang Darren to let him know I was organising to come down to his workshop (20hr drive each way) when Darren as busy as he... is, kindly offered to fly up to my place in Qld and do the work here. I was stoked for his offer to say the least! Darren flew up with all his specialised tools and parts and spent the last two days doing what he does best. To say the least myself and my son Luke Zielinski are stoked with the outcome and Darren’s expertise. Not enough genuinely good nice blokes as Darren Lee !! Very approachable and more than obliging on all, myself and Luke’s questions about how and why about suspension. I could not recommend his services for suspension highly enough for any off-road motorcycle discipline. Even being 2000km away from Qld nothing has been a problem. 09.01.2022 Who's got a new '18 Ktm/Husky 65/85? These models can really benefit from some jetting, and if wanting more power best bang for buck is cylinder head and carby inlet tract mods! Both these models respond very well to various stages of Tuning! So many people spending money in the wrong areas? Seems everyone buys a pipe first?... They then look at other mods down the track, when in reality value/hp/tq per $$ the exhaust is down the list! Jetting Cylinder head Carby and inlet mods Then exhaust! Don't get me wrong exhaust systems do work well but when your looking at value for money it's not in your top three!! See more
