23.01.2022 Hello everybody, We hope you are all safe and well. We are planning on closing our services to new customers in the coming weeks and of course, we are even busier than normal, with orders from both new and existing customers. Which is always the way, when you are making plans. We are not complaining though, the more work the merrier. While we are off for a few months we intend to keep our services open to our existing customers. We are looking forward to having the break we postponed last year! 21.01.2022 Hello everyone, We hope you are all safe and well. We have had allot of enquires regarding different aspects of lenses, so thought we’d share some with you! ... The outcome of your glasses comes down three things! The options you choose to use on your lenses, your frame and most importantly your prescription details. When you buy a brand new frame, they have what is called a dummy lens in them. Added by the manufacturer to help make the frame look good. This is not necessarily how your lenses will look. These lenses have no prescription in them, so therefore they are not a representation of what you will get. The coatings, lens thickness (if you have a high prescription) and your frame will determine your personal out come. This is a pair of glasses Gene has just completed. This person has a very high prescription: +8.75 in each eye. After discussing her requirements and frame details with Gene, this is the outcome of her glasses! We got this job as a result of her husband being unhappy with multiple attempts by a well known glasses retailer to fix his glasses. He came to us and said we were the best team he had ever come across! He absolutely loved his clear pair of lenses that we did for him, so much so, that he got his sun-glass lenses made through us and now his wife’s pair of glasses! We can’t wait to hear what this customer thinks of her new glasses! We love hearing how something simple like great eyesight is accomplished by our quality, local products! Take care and stay safe! These lenses are clear indoors and tint in UV light/outdoors. They have introduced Generation 8 lenses, which are the standard lens we use in our orders now. Please find out more in the link below. This is a pair of: Polarised Brown, Gold Mirror Coated Lenses that Gene has just finished fitting for one of our customers into one of our own frames! We are pleased with the outcome! We offer: Polarised Lens Option for an additional 80.00 per pair for prescription lenses or $50.00 per pair for non-prescription lenses. Polarised lenses are considered to be the best sun-glass option as they not only cut out light, but they cut out reflective light also. This option comes in Brown, Grey or G15 which is Rayban’s Blueish/Green colour! We offer: Mirror Coating for an additional $60.00 per pair. This coating is applied to the outside of the lens and is essentially a reflective coating, so special care needs to be given to these lenses. This coating is available in most colours. We offer: Dye Tint Option for: $30.00 per pair. Dye Tint cuts out light. This option comes in most colours. Our optical quality frames are sourced locally and start from $39.00 per pair. For all those that sent their glasses via express post mid to late last week, your glasses have arrived and we would have sent you an email confirming their arrival! We sent your glasses off to our lab in Sydney on Tuesday for fitting! We will keep you posted as we get updates! ... We can’t believe it’s been two weeks since hitting the Gold Coast! At-least one more week to go! - So many family and friends to visit as much as possible. So many places to go and see. So many things to do. We could see ourselves down this way permanently again! Servicing Australia and New Zealand’s optical needs. We are proudly still 100% Australian. ... We originally set out to offer quality, local products at the best prices. We can proudly say, we still offer the same service 11 years later. We will always do what we can to offer our optical goods at wholesale prices for our customers and ensure all fitting is done either by us or by our lens manufacturer in Sydney. We offer good old fashion customer service and will always do what we can to accomodate our customers where we can. When we take a few months off in a months time, our main aim will be on improving our website (making it more user friendly) or perhaps introducing a couple of new specific websites?.... 09.01.2022 Happy Monday Everyone, We hope you are all safe and well. We are down to our last few days of onsite fitting before we put our machines away for awhile. We can’t believe how quickly another year has rolled past and we are looking forward to our extended holiday. ... We are hoping like crazy to be able to catch-up with family while we are on our break. We plan to make our way down south, stopping at some favourite family spots on the way down. We will put together a private group for our family, friends and existing customers to join and be able to follow us on our journey. With lots of opportunities to do question and answer sessions as well as promote this beautiful state of ours - Queensland. 04.01.2022 Hello everyone, We hope this post finds you all safe and well! A bit of an update on what we have been up too! Fortunately we have been busy on the glasses front and we are still fitting 95% of jobs, so we are happy about that our machines are still behaving nicely! Other jobs are being fitted by our lens manufacturer in Sydney. Our lens manufacturer is still operating on skeleton staff due to covid-19 and hope to be up and running properly soon! This is making the turnar...ound time some of our more complicated jobs a little longer than normal! Which we are happy to keep our customers up to date with if we have their contact details! Our business is still operating as usual despite the logistical issues covid-19 is causing around the place! "Following successful laser eye surgery recently I had multiple pairs of prescription sunglasses which I wanted converting to... non-prescription polarised lenses. I found a local (Australian) company in QLD who quoted me 1/3 the price of opticians who send offshore and can take weeks If you need new lenses for your favourite sunglasses I can not recommend more highly the team at 4 Eyes Optical - TNQ The prices, kind service and amazingly fast turn around time (1 week) was 2nd to none, plus they’re LOCAL". 03.01.2022 Happy Sunday Everyone! We hope this post finds you all safe and well! Here is an update on our camper trailer! Gene has added an inverter and is installing lights up the front today! We have a new mattress in place now! It won’t be long and we will be on the road! Our main aim is to head overseas for Christmas, however if we can’t we will be making the most of this awesome trailer and travel around Queensland! We have some interesting topics to discuss over the next few day...s, so please stayed tuned! Thank you! Take care and stay safe!
