25.01.2022 Its on folks. Tuesday nights handicap competition has been given the light at Blacktown Workers. Spread the word. More information to follow tomorrow. Its going to be awesome.

21.01.2022 Well thats a rap people. Snooker room and sports bar done and dusted. Had the privilege of playing the last game on the tables with club legend Brad Cooke. He got me 2-1 just for the record. It was an odd feeling walking out for the last time. We can now look forward to the club renovations being completed and hopefully the birth of a new Snooker room.

21.01.2022 Dont forget 10am start tomorrow at the workers for the Graham Manuel Memorial comp. Followed but Tuesdays Handicap competition where we need you there by 6.45 at the latest. Get into it guys.

21.01.2022 It is with regret we will have to defer our trip to Club Forster.

21.01.2022 Att all snooker club members. This is your last weekend to remove your cue from our cupboards. We are currently clearing everything to be put into storage. Any items left in the cupboard will be removed this coming week so please get cracking if you need to get your cue. Cheers.

19.01.2022 Wishing our Super Secretary Nikki a very Happy Birthday. Hope you had a sensational day.

19.01.2022 Good luck to our Western Districts Snooker team who are in action tomorrow and the following Thursday in a new Rapid Fire Snooker and Billiards comp. It is definitely going to be a fun, exciting where we go up against teams from The Workers, Rooty Hill RSL x 2, Wenty Leagues, x 2 and Guildford Leagues making a total of 7 teams. The top players from each team will progress to a Champion of Champions rapid fire competition with time permitting. So come on the Sevo boys, I’m sure you will do us proud.

19.01.2022 Big night at the Workers tonight with the Seven Hills Snooker Club putting on a great show were we seen our own Brendan McCann in his 2nd final in a row against our Club Captain Graham Douglas who got the goods tonight in a super tight Final. Great work by all.

18.01.2022 Some candid shots from the recent Western Districts competition where the Seven Hills boys took out 2nd place.

18.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR All MEMBERS. Please read in entirety. Hi All, After a lot of discussion with our parent club we now have some direction moving forward. Please note that things may change, but this is whats happening at the moment.... Our tables are now open for limited hours, and are for the use of FINANCIAL SNOOKER CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. Members wishing to play can obtain snooker balls from a Snooker club committee member, not from the bar. Hours of play will be restricted to 4pm to 9pm and players must follow strict Covid protocol at all times. Failure to do so will see your game terminated. Fred Egan will be available most days from 4pm and Roger Covel from 5.30. Other committee members will be on site as required. Please note that all club cues will be removed from the racks so bring your own cue or ask a committee member for a club cue. Our Tuesday Night Handicap competition will be back as from Tuesday 5th of August. Once again, this will be for Financial Snooker Club Members ONLY. We will post and email procedures on the coming days. On a sad note, we have been advised by the RSL Board that the snooker tables will only be available for the next 6 weeks until the 28th of August. At this time, sadly the tables will be removed from the club to make way for a major works program which will see the club almost entirely renovated and major club extensions. This unfortunately means that Seven Hills RSL will be without snooker tables for up to 2-1/2 years. While we find this disappointing, we are excited at the prospect of having an up to date, state of the art Snooker room in the future. We will be endeavoring to hold the Snooker v Fishos competition on Sunday 9th of August. Any other competitions TBA. Any member who have their Cues stored in the club cupboard are advised to remove them as soon as possible as the cupboard will also be removed. Please keep an eye out for further information in the coming days. With thanks, Graham Douglas On behalf of the Snooker Club Committee. See more

17.01.2022 Awesome start last night to the Western Districts Speed Snooker and Billiards. We took on 6 teams from Sydney’s west in a round robin style competition. Our players for the competition are Dean Wootton Graham Douglas Kuruvilla Uthup and Alan Couttie who played a total of 12 games on night one with 8 wins and 4 losses. This puts us in a great position going into the final round next week. Overall the night was a huge success and a great night was enjoyed by all. Bring on next week.

17.01.2022 Not long now guys and it will be cues at 5paces.

17.01.2022 Been a busy night getting use to some changes in the rules so that we are Covid safe. Decent roll up for night 1 back and we are down to our semi finals where Alan (-5) takes on Graham (-28) and semi 2 has Brad (-42) up against Abdul (-19). Check out the draw here. https://challonge.com/qptkqxvr

16.01.2022 The RSL club opens on Monday 1st of June. Unfortunately the snooker tables will be unavailable for use at this stage due to the current restrictions. I hope this is only a short term situation and I will update you as soon as club management advise me of any changes. Please avail yourselves of the club facilities available and be safe. Dave.

16.01.2022 Well is a dream final to finish off. Our two best players who constantly have to give plenty of start week after week have made it through to see who will be crowded our Final Champion. 11.01.2022 Good roll up at Workers tonight. Good mix of players from both clubs. Well done Steve Jay on tonights win.

11.01.2022 Found a new format for Tuesday nights. This would rattle a few players cages.

10.01.2022 Anyone who had a cue in the Snooker cupboard when the room was closed and hasn't claimed it please contact David Battensby with a description. I might have rescued it.

10.01.2022 Yes as mentioned, our Tuesday Night Handicap comp is back, all be it for a short while. Financial Snooker Club Members ONLY. 08.01.2022 Attention all Snooker Club Members. Please check here and also your email tomorrow for some very important news regarding our club.

08.01.2022 Hi all, as per earlier post there will be a handicap Snooker comp at Blacktown Workers starting next Tuesday 15/9 with a start time of 7pm. It is of great importance that you try to get to the snooker room between 6.30 and 6.45 to sign on. Please give some indication that you are planning to attend so we can get an idea of numbers. The comp will run along the same lines as our seven hills comp but be aware that there might be some minor rule changes. We are allowed 18 players... in the snooker room at any given time with up to another 40 allowed in the upstairs area where there is seating so there is plenty of room. This is a great opportunity for us all to continue playing in a Tuesday night so lets get behind it. If you are looking for something a little extra, Workers Snooker are holding the annual Graham Manuel memorial competition this Sunday starting at 10am. It is a round robin followed by a knockout stage to decide the winner. It is an awesome event that we are all welcome to participate in so if your free on Sunday try and get up for this one. Cheers guys. Graham See more

08.01.2022 Big night tonight for our Seven Hills RSL players at the Workers Shootout. We had Dean Wootton and Graham Douglas making it through to the Final with Graham getting the cash in an awesome match.

07.01.2022 Dean (-30) takes on Kuru (-15) in tonights final. Best of luck gents.

07.01.2022 Finally some great news. Last night we seen the best result by a Seven Hills RSL Snooker Club team for quite some time. Playing in a teams event against 6 other teams from the Western Districts competition in a Speed Snooker and Billiards format. After a steady first week we seen our Seven Hills RSL team sitting in 3rd place 26 points behind the strong Wenty Leagues No1 team. After a quick tactical chat before week 2 matches, the Sevo boys, Kuruvilla Uthup, Dean Wootton, A...lan Couttie and Graham Douglas went on the attack with some great results coming our way. With 20 minutes in the clock for each match Alan got us away scoring a quick fire 55 in his first match. Kuru was super constant playing billiards for the team winning plenty of matches where he scored strongly in every visit to the table. Graham was solid all tournament only dropping 1 game and scoring 50 plus twice and a 41 in his last 3 matches to help close the gap on the leaders. Up stepped Dean to put on a master class scoring a Tournament High 81 in 20 minutes of snooker to set up a grand stand finish. His 81 was the highest score by any player from any team in the competition. Well done Dean. Down to the last frame and with Seven Hills needing to score 71 in our last billiards game to win the comp, (unknown to us at the time) Kuru gave the competition a real shake scoring 67 against a highly fancied Rooty Hill opponent to see Seven Hills finish 2nd overall by the smallest of margins of 4 points. What makes our efforts even more impressive is the fact that our Seven Hills team was the only team in the competition who at this time, do not have home tables making it difficult to get the required preparation. So we should be super proud of our teams effort in securing our clubs first podium finish in a very, very long time. From our players point of view, I can say that we are very proud to be representing Seven Hills RSL on the Western Districts circuit and look forward to more great result moving into 2021. We have more inter club competition planned with other clubs lining up to play against us. Keep up the great work guys. Graham. See more

07.01.2022 Down to the top 4 and its semifinals time. Carl Peters (-42) takes on Stuart Hall (-16) in semi 1 while Brad Cooke (-42) is up against Tony Scibberas (-12) in semi 2. Best of luck guys. The Last Finsl awaits.

07.01.2022 Hi all, as mentioned earlier, our snooker tables will be closed as of the 28th of this month for a period of approximately 2-1/2 years. We believe that the current Board of Directors are happy to see tables return once major renovations have been completed. We will just have to wait and see if this changes over time. We are confident that our Snooker Club will return. In saying that, the current tables at the RSL are up for sale, so if you would like to grab a bargain, contact club management for more details. The tables are also listed on Market Place at $1000 plus GST.

06.01.2022 Follow tonight comp here. https://challonge.com/qhc73f1l

05.01.2022 Good evening everyone, Your snooker club committee is committed to keeping your club going over the next two years. We will try to arrange games with other clubs. Our Forster trip is approved with all spots filled. I have had a conversation with the RSL President and he confirmed the Snooker tables will be returning. Where in the club hasn't been decided yet. Keep watching this site for any updates. ... Have a great day. See more

05.01.2022 Good evening everyone, As sports are opening up on the 1st of July I hope clubs will allow snooker, darts and other indoor sports to resume. I will approach the RSL management for guidance. There will most likely be restrictions we will have to contend with and possible changes to game formats. Keep watching this space for updates.... 02.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing you all for our Tuesday Night Handicap comp. Please try to be at the club early so we can sign you on and explain some protocol with regard to Covid Safe procedures that we must follow. Remember Financial Snooker Club Members will only be permitted to play. See you all there.

02.01.2022 Boom, into tonights final are Graham (-28) v Abdul (-19). Best of luck guys.

01.01.2022 On Monday night I attended the Blacktown Workers Snooker clubs general meeting and had a discussion regarding holding a Tuesday night competition at the Workers. The snooker club voted that it was something they are willing to try but first needed to gain the permission of the Blacktown Workers mother club. We are hoping to get this permission in the next week or so and once it has been cleared, we will set a start date and notify everyone as soon as possible. To be eligib...le all players are required to be members of both the Workers Club ($6.00 I believe) and the Workers Snooker club ($5.00). Look forward to seeing you all there. Please also be aware that there is a Sunday afternoon competition on most sundays at the Workers starting at 3pm. I would encourage all Seven Hills Snooker Club members to join the Workers Snooker Club which is one of the strongest snooker clubs in Sydney. Ill keep you updated as information comes to hand. Cheers Graham Douglas See more
