23.01.2022 BEST WISHES FROM ABSOLUTE PACE Just putting a big call out on our Facebook page to wish everyone the best during the current COVID-19 situation. We hope everyone is managing the best they can and our sincere condolences to anyone that has lost family members here and overseas.... At Absolute Pace we have been affected like so many small businesses in Australia by the impact of COVID-19. We have had to proactively manage the COVID-19 situation and its current impact and potential future impact to all aspects of Absolute Pace business operations. It's effect on customers, it's effect on our employees and its effect on how we can operate and how we can sell products. I was in this business through the GFC, so have an understanding of the flexibility that is needed to adapt to situations like this. As they say "Plan for the worst and hope for the best"!!! As we are all aware it is going to be a very difficult time for businesses worldwide and I really feel for anyone that has already been an will be significantly impacted by it. Absolute Pace is lucky to have a dedicated and great team of workers behind it and fantastic support from our customers. The changes to the business will also bring some exciting new announcements and new offerings. More on these soon. Personally I have not had the spare time to update our Facebook page as much as we should be, but we will make sure that changes now. We have owners out there that have incredible vehicles that we would love to share with you all and we have many new products and projects that we can't wait to share as well. At the very least it might help a little with the boredom of lockdown.

21.01.2022 Ford v Ferrari Movie - Pace Carbon on Display at Pacific Fair Cinema (Gold Coast) Matt has graciously allowed us to display his Pace Carbon Roadster at the launch of Ford v Ferrari movie here on the Gold Coast. There is a special invite only advance screening of the movie tonight at Event Cinemas at Pacific Fair. With the movie open to the public from November 14th.... The patrons at Pacific Fair will get a special treat of seeing the first finished Pace Carbon Roadster. The Pace Carbon features clear gloss carbon weave inner panels on doors, bonnet and boot. Plus gloss weave on bonnet and boot opening body support rings and some other nice touches. Matt has finished off the look with lots of other decorative carbon accessories such as carbon dash, air box, brake ducts, chassis structural elements and other carbon finished interior trim pieces. Looks beautiful Matt, thank you very much for the privilege to show it off. Matt's Pace Carbon Roadster will be on display at Pacific Fair Event Cinema right through to Monday.

19.01.2022 "DARK BLUE AND BEAUTIFUL" Greg's PACE 427 looks gorgeous in it's dark blue duco with twin silver stripes. Powered by a GM LSA engine and fitted with our intercooler system for the supercharger and forced cold air intake.... Fitted with 18" smooth lip Halibrand knock-off wheels and shod with the widest street legal tyres you can buy. Interior is black leather, with silver double diamond stitched seats. A carbon dash, chrome fire extinguisher and classic style riveted wood laminate steering wheel complete the picture of Greg's interior. Greg is busy racking up the km's on both the street and track and enjoying every single one of them...

18.01.2022 Our old Dark Blue/Orange GT40 featured in the Gosford Museum entry way and was the first vehicle on display as you walked into the museum. We put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and money into that vehicle. It was used by us as a promotional vehicle for a period of time, before being sold to a local collector, who eventually sold it onto the museum. The livery scheme is inspired from an original GT40, chassis no. 1051.... Just thought it was timely to post these photos with the museum closing and the car going to a new owner. Enjoy.

13.01.2022 New PACE GT Exterior Side Mirror Kits We have some exciting new side mirror kits for our PACE GT. They utilise the popular chrome finished Raydot style mirror on an extended polished stainless base. This ensures the mirror retains it's classic look and matches in perfectly with the other polished exterior GT parts. The inner and outer polished stainless mount plates ensure the mirror mounting is rigid and secure.... You can easily access the mirror adjustment tension as well. By mounting the mirrors up on the side windows themselves and then having an extended mount base results in excellent rear visibility. These mirror kits are now included standard in our PACE GT Finishing Kit and are being retro-supplied to all existing GT owners free of charge. These mirror kits should fit any GT40 replica and will be available for purchase separately. All external mount parts and hardware are supplied in stainless for superior looks, longevity and ease of cleaning.

13.01.2022 "SUPERCAR FROM OUR PAST" Had a very special visit from John's Coupe the other day. Chris drove it over for an organised visit to show us how it was going. It has been on the road now for over 8 years and sees regular track use. And it is a very fast track car. Awesome car and even though these things saw a significant number of changes and improvements by PACE to suit the Australian market, this one in particular had some very special touches and upgrades that makes it ver...y unique and very high end. A fantastic achievement for our business at the time and a significant stepping stone to where we are now. Powered by a Katech custom built GM LS7 dry sump engine and runs a sequential shift Albins gearbox. Has both centre gear shift and paddle shift on steering wheel. You name it, it has it, hydraulic quick lift front and rear, light weight rotary-forged race wheels, big brembo monoblock brakes, active exhaust and widest tyres money can buy...

10.01.2022 "THE LAST OF THE BIG BANGERS" Bob's PACE 427 is powered by the last of the factory GM big cube engines, the famous LS7. At 427ci, 7.0LT, these engines were all hand-built with some trick titanium internals, dry sump, etc. Engine induction is via a Harrop 8-stack injection that features a hand-built fully plumbed forced cold air intake system by Absolute Pace. The tops of the intake plenums are finished with a see-through cover so you can see all 8 of the glorious intake ram...s. We adapted the upgrade MG9 variant of the Tremec 6060 6 speed manual gearbox to Bob's LS7. Bob is a motorsport enthusiast with his PACE 427 with some nice race upgrades such as: * 2-Piece Fully Floating Brake Rotors * 6 Piston Brembo Monoblock Brake Calipers * Upgraded Race Fuel System with lift pump, twin main fuel pumps, anti-surge reservoir tank and upgraded lines. * Adjustable Anti-Rollbars Front and Rear * Race harnesses for Driver and Passenger Wheels are 18" with our extra wide upgrade and 245 front tyres, 335 rear tyres. All finished off with a cool grey and silver stripe paint them, black leather interior with vacuum infused carbon fibre dash and traditional riveted, laminated timber steering wheel.

09.01.2022 Introducing the new PACE CARBON. The PACE Carbon is based off our PACE 427 design with the same exceptional aluminium chassis and body shape, but features a significantly upgraded carbon body. Even though our PACE 427 features an exceptional carbon body, the PACE Carbon screams out and shows the world and everyone looking at the vehicle that I am a carbon composite body.... The PACE Carbon model features substantial carbon upgrades to both the main body shell and all body panels of our PACE 427. The entire inner panel structure and centre area of the bonnet, boot and scoop are finished in a gloss carbon weave. The PACE Carbon is designed to emphasis the carbon nature of the body by sending a very clear message via it’s gloss carbon weave inner panels. So essentially a customer could just paint the outer shell and it would give the illusion that the entire body was a carbon weave finish and just the outer shell has been painted. Everyone that sees a PACE Carbon will marvel in the beauty of its carbon inner finish. Anyone walking up to the finished vehicle will immediately notice the full gloss carbon on the entire inner door structure, on opening the boot notice the gloss carbon on the inner boot lid and on opening the bonnet notice the gloss carbon on the inner bonnet. Even the reflections on the mirror polished heatshield/inner guard panels will reflect the gloss carbon weave bonnet body ring. The illusion will be that it is a full decorative gloss weave body that has had it's exterior painted. We've already produced a handful of PACE Carbon kits and looking forward to seeing them as finished vehicles. What are the detailed differences between the PACE Carbon and 427: * Enhanced body with significantly higher carbon content * Full gloss clear coated carbon bonnet, boot and door inner structure * Full gloss clear coated carbon bonnet, boot, door and scoop inner skin * Full gloss clear coated carbon body support ring for bonnet opening and boot opening * Carbon finished body mount flanges

08.01.2022 "COOL OLD SCHOOL" Photos of a Contemporary Cobra Replica restoration we did for Stef. The goal was to produce a vehicle that looked like a partially restored original car. The source vehicle was a Contemporary Classic Cobra replica sourced from the USA. This particular vehicle is actually close to 40 years old which meant that it had what looked like period correct patina on quite a few parts including seats, dash, wheels, body accessories, etc. So we carefully cleaned and pe...rformed minor restoration on these parts, but the patina remained on them. It was a complete body off restoration. All of the worn out bushes, joints and mechanical parts that needed attention were replaced. The body shape was significantly modified and updated to a more correct shape with riveted on scoop, bonnet rivets and other original features. It was painted in original Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripe colour scheme. The vehicle was converted to a more correct Ford FE big block with matching Ford Toploader 4 speed gearbox. The chassis was cleaned up and repainted and being a twin tube round chassis, it certainly looks the part. The finished vehicle was complianced as a left hand drive and delivered to Stef. Such an incredible vehicle, a classic in it's own right and it was fantastic to be involved in putting such an old school Cobra replica on the road here to be enjoyed...

08.01.2022 Alan in his PACE 427 at the last A Series Racing round. Thought this was a great clip as there was a bit of overtaking back and forth with Yve in the red Cobra due to a mistake by Alan. Yve's red Cobra is by no means a slouch but you can see clearly the effortless power of the GM LSA as Alan quickly dispatches here twice on the straight. Includes the entire pit exit, warm up lap and pit entry footage as well in case anyone is interested. Or you can just skip forward to the ...action. Enjoy.

06.01.2022 "OLD BLUE" Alan's PACE 427 is chassis #2 and has had a full life. It has been on the road for nearly 5 years and over that period has been extensively raced at both the Cobra Nationals, Queensland Raceway Sprints and A Series Sprints at Morgan Park Raceway. Alan also attends all the club events he can and has been involved in numerous street parades with his PACE 427, club runs and plenty of shows. Has even picked up a few Cobra Nationals show & shine and race trophies.... Alan's PACE 427 is well loved, well used and thoroughly enjoyed by himself and his family members. We've even used it extensively as a display car for our business. It's runs a GM LSA engine and has been fitted with a few race upgrades such as race seat belt harness, upgrade external surge tank fuel system, shift light and race brake pads. At it's essence though it is just a standard PACE 427 which is a testament to the quality of our standard parts. Alan has never had a failure or issue which has stopped him from completing a race weekend. It always impresses me that a 600HP+ car can be pounded on over a 3 day race weekend and at the end of the weekend you can just drive it away. Alan's car is a detailed mid-blue gelcoat finish with vinyl stripes for durability and practicality for his racing and extreme use his car undergoes. 05.01.2022 New Electric Handbrake Calipers We are excited to announce that electric handbrake calipers are coming soon as a kit to suit all of our vehicles. The electric handbrake can be easily retrofitted to already finished cars or selected as an option on new orders. So no more awkward handbrake handles cluttering up your interiors and the electric system is substantially quicker to install.... The electric handbrake calipers are manufactured by Brembo so perfectly match our existing Brembo brake packages. The holding force auto adjusts to suit pad wear, etc. So just fit and forget. The smart controller can detect if the calipers have successfully engaged and will alert the driver if there is an issue with engagement. The kit comes complete with our own custom electronic control module to comply with registration requirements, custom matching labelled billet pull switch and polished stainless bezel recess. Full details and pricing available soon. They are very cost effective, so we expect them to be a popular option.

03.01.2022 New Borrani Wire Wheel Fitment We are now pleased to be able to fit up the famous Borrani wire wheels and other wheels that require a splined hub fitment. We have traditionally supported bolt-up wheels and pin-drive knock-off wheels on our kit vehicles, but can now also support splined-hub knock-off wheels.... As many of you might know, the genuine Borrani wire wheels were fitted to original Cobra's and GT40's, and other notable performance vehicles in that era. So for owners looking for something special and unique, this could be a great option for them. You can still purchase genuine Borrani wheels new today.
