25.01.2022 MARCH CLEAN EATING CHALLENGE!!! Last February we ran a clean eating challenge and we had heaps of positive feedback. Many of you jumped on board and made some really positive changes to your lifestyle. Some of you lost a few unwanted kilos and lots of you got into some really great habits. eg drinking a LOT more water! Weve decided to run the challenge again for March. We hope lots of you will again jump on board. ... RULES You will have a spread sheet for each day in March and you will get a point for each day if you can tick off the following: No alcohol, processed fruit juice or soft drink No white bread No added sugar - eg cakes, chocolate, lollies, pastries etc No junk food At least 5 serves of fruit and veggies 2 litres of water At least 30 mins of exercise each day and 10,000 steps. We will give you some more info this week at training and will have spreadsheets to give you. In the meantime comment below if youre keen!!!

25.01.2022 Another option for you ........

25.01.2022 Unfortunately COVID has made it tricky for us to have our annual Christmas party this year . We would still like to thank you all for your continued support through this very strange year and have been putting some thought into the best way to do this. As such, on Christmas Eve Laura and I would like to offer you a free 45 min session at 9am. Numbers will be capped at 20 and we will use both the indoor and outdoor spaces. ... After the session we’d love it if you can hang around for a bit to have a glass of champagne or a coffee with us. If you’re interested please let us know so we can keep a track of numbers. It’s not quite the same as a Christmas party but it would be great to see as many of you as possible get in some last minute training and have a little catch up. Linda and Laura x

25.01.2022 As you would all be aware we again have to temporarily close the gym . We hope all our awesome clients stay safe and well and hopefully we can get thru this terrible time in the not too distant future. Stay active in any way you can - get out in the fresh air and walk or run and do some home workouts a few times a week. As during last lockdown, we will continue to post some workouts you can do at home without any equipment.... Take care and we look forward to seeing you on the other side!

Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us this time than it was last time we had to do outdoor training!!!! PTs will also resume for th...ose of you who want them, but again, outdoors for the moment. We will be in touch with you all closer to the date to confirm but please feel free to comment or text with any questions or to book in your PT times. We are so excited to get back to doing what we love and we can’t wait to see you all! Linda and Laura

23.01.2022 Hi everyone hope you are all safe and well and making the most of this beautiful weather to get outdoors walking and exercising. Heres a quick 20 minute work out for you to try. Let us know how you go by commenting below. Do as many rounds as possible of the following in 20 mins: 10 burpees... 20 push ups 20 sit ups 40 squats 50 skips (or 40 mountain climbers if you dont have a rope) 1 min plank Aim for at least 5 rounds. Good luck

22.01.2022 Watch out everyone. She’s baaaack!

22.01.2022 Hi everyone - after giving it a lot of thought weve decided to suspend our groups for at least a week. Given the new government regulations and the current numbers in Geelong it seems like the safest thing to do. Social distancing in such a small space is obviously quite tricky and youre health and safety is obviously our priority We would hate to be in a position of putting anyone at risk. So the plan is to take a break from today and reassess at the end of next week when... we can see what the numbers in Geelong are looking like. PTs will still go ahead for those who want to continue to train. Thanks so much for your continued support and please look after yourselves and your families and stay well x

22.01.2022 So we have the green light to reopen the studio as of 22 June . All group blocks will resume that week and Ill be in touch with PT clients individually. I hope youre all as excited as I am to get back indoors, lift some weights and get fitter and stronger!!!! In the meantime the outdoor classes are still running and it looks like the weather is going to be kind to us this week. I have 2 spots remaining for tomorrow mornings 7am class if anyone is keen.

22.01.2022 Hi everyone - hope youre all surviving homeschooling!!!! Time for another workout. Hope youre all continuing to be active and getting out to enjoy the nice weather weve been having. Todays workout is tabata - 20 seconds work with 10 seconds rest between 8 exercises. Aim for 4 or 5 rounds with one or two minutes rest between rounds. Go as hard as you can for the 20 seconds to get your heart rate right up. You can use your watch but ideally download a tabata app so you don...t have to keep checking the timing. Feel free to replace any of the exercises with other exercises and and as always yell out if you have any questions. Warm up with a jog to the end of the street or around the block or even some shuttle runs in your driveway the jump into your first round. 1 push ups 2 frog jumps (wide squat jumps with toes pointing out, aiming to get your palms to the ground and reaching for the sky when you jump up) 3 plank walking from forearms to hands 4 sprint on the spot punching arms above head 5 sit ups 6 tuck jumps 7 walking lunges 8 oblique mountain climber ( cross leg to opp elbow) Have fun and let me know how you go

21.01.2022 Just because the gym is closed there is no excuse not to be active. I don’t have to tell you that a workout has just as many benefits for the mind as the body. Give this one a go! For time: Do 5 reps of the following 5 exercises for 10 rounds ... Push ups Squat jumps Burpees Sit ups High knees Finish with a 1 min plank and then a 1 minute wall squat Yell out if you have any questions. Good luck and let me know your time x

20.01.2022 Todays workout is all about the plank!!! Accumulate 12 minutes of planking. Set a timer for 12 mins. Each time you break stop the clock and do the following: 10 push ups... 10 squat jumps 5 burpees Start the timer again and continue your plank. Make sure while youre planking that your form is perfect - keep your body weight forward (as in the pic), your shoulders should be directly over your elbows (or over your wrists if you are planking on your hands), your ankles should be over your toes, squeeze your glutes and brace thru your middle. If you feel your form starting to go, start your push ups and start planking again after your burpees with perfect form. Yell out if you have any questions and have fun. You can thank me later for your 6 pack

19.01.2022 A new workout for you to start off the week. Hope you are all well and keeping as active as you can during these strange times! Let me know how long it takes you... 3 rounds 20 double leg mountain climbers 20 crunches 20 alternating lunges 20 push ups 2 rounds 10 burpees 20 dips 30 lunges jumps 1 round 1 min plank 1 min wall sit 30 sec side plank each side

10.01.2022 TRAINING FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS Hi everyone Its been so great to see so many of you over the past few weeks and to see you getting back into your training routine. ... As many of you have kids going back to school next week I realise 7am sessions are going to be tricky for some. As such, at this stage Im proposing to just run one 7am session on wednesday if there are the numbers. However, Ill also look at adding a 5pm Monday seeing it is a public holiday. The timetable Im proposing for the next 2 weeks until we can get back to the new normal will look like this: Monday 5pm Wednesday 7am and 5pm Friday 9am Laura will also continue running her Saturday morning sessions. Please let me know what your preference/s is and Ill confirm each session by text. Many thanks for your patience and understanding. Linda

09.01.2022 Hi everyone due to the Governments latest round of restrictions and to keep you all safe and well we need to shut our gym as of today. Hopefully the measures the government is taking will help our country get on top of this horrible virus quickly and we can open again soon. In the meantime get out for walks and jogs in the fresh air and do some circuits at home. Well post some workouts over the coming weeks but feel free to contact us if you need some inspiration or have any questions. We look forward to seeing you all on the other side

09.01.2022 My very favourite breakfast. Oats with berries, almonds and coconut. Full of goodness and keeps me satisfied all morning. Coffee is also necessary

08.01.2022 Hi everyone - so with a bit of luck it looks like we may be able to start back with some outdoor sessions at some stage next week. Im thinking that at this stage we will hold off on our normal blocks until we can get back indoors. Obviously these sessions will be weather dependant and given the space will be capped at 5 people. They will run for 45 minutes and be $10 per session. Im looking at running the following times: 7am Tuesday 7am Thursday 5pm wednesday ... 9am Friday We can add more session if there is enough interest. Obviously we need to wait on announcements next week before we can put concrete plans in place but itd be great if you could let me know what session/s youd be interested in so I can get an idea of numbers. I cant wait to jump back into things and see all your lovely faces!

08.01.2022 Just because the gym is closed there is no excuse not to be active. I dont have to tell you that a workout has just as many benefits for the mind as the body. Give this one a go! 08.01.2022 Hi everyone - after giving it a lot of thought we have decided not to run our groups at the moment. Given that the space is so small it has become apparent that it is too difficult to keep 1 1/2 metres between clients and to keep up with disinfecting all equipment between each use. Im disappointed to have to do this but as we all know these are crazy times and we feel we need to do our bit to try minimise the spread of the coronavirus and flatten the curve. However, at th...is stage we will continue to run PTs with 1 or 2 people so if you currently train in a group and are interested in continuing training please make contact with us to work out arrangements. We are proposing that when we start back group training the blocks that you have already paid for will continue on. If this presents a problem for you please let us know. Please everyone - look after yourselves and stay well. Thanks so much for your support of our little gym and for your understanding - we appreciate it so much x

08.01.2022 Michael and Alex sprucing the studio up for your return (hopefully sooner rather than later ).
