18.01.2022 Our Petstock Catnip Cage has been empty for many weeks now so it’s high time we filled it with some stunning felines. Tomorrow we will be introducing Uggy to the cage ready to meet her new family. This stunning domestic medium haired torti/tabby blend came to us with two other adult cats and their eight kittens. ... The kittens have all been snapped up, as has the male adult cat. But sisters Uggy and Ace have raised their brood and are now patiently waiting for their chance at a new life. Uggy is a sweetheart who loves a good pat or scratch under the chin. She loves to curl up on your lap or on your bed. She has been housed with two dogs and doesn’t mind sharing her humans and space with them. Her adoption fee is $150 and she comes: - desexed -microchipped -vaccinated Please message us or head to Petstock to meet her. Source number:RE115528 Microchip number: 978101082595359

18.01.2022 We celebrated Halloween with a working bee and a new litter of kittens

14.01.2022 What an epic day for animal welfare in Victoria! If you follow our page, we know it’s because you understand how important rescue organisations are in providing shelter and a voice to vulnerable animals. Victorian pounds are often understaffed, underfunded and undereducated in animal behaviour and psychology. This has lead to the death of millions of animals in the pound system due to a misunderstanding of behaviour or because their lives are simply not valued enough to war...rant protection. Rescue organisations formed when individual community members witnessed the depravity of the council run pound system. These rescue groups stepped up to the plate to take animals that were surplus, difficult or simply had served their time and were consuming space and finances within the pound. Without the aid of rescue, any one of these grievences would more often than not result in the death of the impounded animal without any need for reporting or accountability. Well now, thanks to MP Andy Meddick and his incredible team of crusaders, there is a healthy discussion surrounding the Domestic Animal Act as it currently exists and the need for it to be amended. To give animals more rights, to insist upon a more transparent system that accounts for each individual animal and their outcome, and to provide rescue groups with a little bit of legislative support when advocating for animal rights. Congratulations to everyone involved in getting this momentous motion through to parliament! Please share this post in remembrance of all the animals who didn’t live to see tomorrow. *Special mention to our #1 photographer Lisa Davis whose beautiful photo of an impounded dog is the epitome of this movement and was used in today’s exciting announcement.

13.01.2022 A busy long weekend has seen us welcome four litters of new babes! All but one of the mums will be headed back to their original homes as soon as they have been desexed. These four litters contain a whopping 19 kittens. All hungry little mouths that have a lot of growing to do. We received an incredibly generous donation of a 10kg bag of kitten dry food this week and would like to acknowledge this huge helping hand. ... The food will go a long way towards feeding our 41 kittens and their mums. See more

11.01.2022 Also heading down to the Petstock cage today is Minx the very petite tabby shorthair. This little man is adventurous and playful and is very much still a kitten in nature. He came to us from the pound so while his past is an unknown, we know his future will be filled with plenty of lap time, sleep-ins and chin rubs. Microchip number: 978101082594918... 08.01.2022 Hi Adoptable Followers, We are reaching out to anyone in the Northern Grampians and Ararat region that have an undesexed female cat. Let us help you cover the desexing fee. We have already helped to finance the desexing of a handful of females that the owners could not afford to pay for alone. We are still taking in kittens from last year’s kitten season that the owners have been unable to rehome. ... Remember that laws have changed and ALL free kittens must now be microchipped prior to advertising and they must also be listed with a source number. This is regardless of whether they are an accidental litter. Let’s make sure this year’s kitten season is a non event. EVERY litter counts. EVERY kitten counts. Desex your cat now. Message us now.

06.01.2022 With so many successful adoptions our busy little team of vollies have been working overtime. More adoptions, mean more kittens that don’t get given away free to good home as we are able to host more kittens under our program. Today we welcomed seven new babies and their mums. Two more mums who will never have to have another litter of kittens and get to go home to their family desexed. Our foster care placements are limited but if you know anyone who needs our help to desex mum and care for kittens please get in touch.

04.01.2022 Does anyone recognise this little old lady?
