17.01.2022 Low flow toilets and taps are great for saving water but due to the minimal water used and that flows through your pipes, it can be a good idea to help keep those flowing freely by filling sinks with some water and releasing the plug to give a good flow of water through the pipes.

12.01.2022 Would you ever consider installing a bidet? Widely used in Euroure and Asia, bidets aren't the norm here in Australia. Reasons why you might want to consider: . More hygienic than using toilet paper + saves you money on buying toilet paper and saves the trees! Curbs the spread of germs. .... Medical conditions. People who suffer from certain medical conditions such as haemorrhoids may find it more comfortable than conventional bathroom hygiene methods. (Image: www.reece.com.au)

03.01.2022 Food Scraps... If you think that pushing small scraps down the sink is harmless is the complete opposite due to the S bend shape of the pipe that is attached to the drain can cause a build-up of the scraps which will eventually be hard to flush through and that's when a blockage arises. There are additional drain covers that can be placed onto the kitchen drains and after dishes, they can be removed and the scraps that have been caught can be discarded in the correct way.

03.01.2022 Bathroom sinks, showers and floor drains are common for collecting hair and soap so it is a good idea to keep these drain traps clear by giving them a regular clean. Hair won’t dissolve straight away and will just collect anything that flows down pipes and soap is greasy and can clog the pipework. If this is something that grosses you out, put gloves on and grab with a tissue and place in the rubbish bin.
