Thanks to Just Hockey, the clubs, schools, academy athletes and their parents, and the athletes and families who had private sessions. You made our 2019 a great first year in business. 05.01.2022 Attention Elite Female Athletes! Are you new to Brisbane? Are you looking for a new challenge in 2020? Are you thinking about making a shift from your current... club? Are you looking to join a progressive and ambitious hockey club? Are you wanting to link up with a great group of committed and determine female athletes? Yes? We are the club for you! South West United Hockey Club's Division 1 and 2 teams will commence training on January 19th. Training will be twice per week; Sundays plus 1 midweek evening. The first session will be on Sunday Jan 19th, at the State Hockey Centre, Lytton Rd Colmslie, gathering from 4:45pm for a 5pm start. Sunday sessions will end at 6:30. The day and time for our midweek sessions will be confirmed after Monday. 04.01.2022 Happy New Year to all! 2020 is looking to be a bumper year for Advance Hockey. 2020 will see Advance Hockey working with Bellbowrie and Eastern Suburbs Hockey Clubs, both from Ipswich, and both for the first time. Advance Hockey will take on a whole of club development role with Bellbowrie Hockey Club while with Easts, Advance Hockey will assist with the return of their A Grade Women’s team. ... 2020 will see Advance Hockey continue on with the great work being completed at Brisbane’s South West United Hockey Club. 2019 saw a massive 25% increase in memberships at SWUHC as well as the club’s return to Brisbane’s Division 1 Women’s Hockey league after a 20 year absence. 2020 will see a major drive in junior recruitment at the club along with continued focus on junior and senior development. Advance Hockey is pleased to announce that in 2020 we will be working with John Paul College, assisting with the development of their student hockey athletes as well as coaching their senior girls teams. As well as John Paul College, Advance Hockey will be active across a number of other schools, delivering introductory programs, hitting off from Term 1, assisting with building up the profile of our great game and connecting local schools with local clubs. 2019 saw Advance Hockey launch its first Academy programs. Advance Hockey will build on this great start by offering specialist position programs in the lead up to the 2020 season. Watch this space for more information as programs are finalised. And then there's our private sessions. Our private coaching services received a sharp increase in interest at the end of 2019. There will be more time dedicated to private athletes in 2020. If private sessions are of interest, take advantage of the school holidays and get in touch soon. Finally, of course, whether we see you in 2020 or not, Advance Hockey would like to wish you all the best for your hockey in the coming year.
