08.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements Wage Subsidy. We had previously advised businesses and individuals of the Australian Governments ‘Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements wage subsidy’ which commenced on the 5th of October and is a 50% wage subsidy, up to $7000 per apprentice or trainee, per quarter until September 2021. We have been advised that the Australian Government has changed the eligibility criteria that came into effect as of Wednesday 28th Oct...ober 2020, which now means an existing worker will now only be eligible to attract the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements payment for an employer under 3 conditions.
