We worked closely with Interior Designer Claire Kneebone and her clients to make custom tables and stools featuring finishes in handcrafted oak, brass, Carrara marble, black steel and Italian pure aniline leather. 11.01.2022 We worked with the owner of The Stirling Hotel, Sarah Matthews and with the Murdoch Hill Wines family, Michael, Andrew, Julie & Charlie to create a very special collection of furniture for the new cellar door. The timber we used in the tasting room is Wormy chestnut. Wormy Chestnut is a mix of three different timbers, messmate, silver top ash and brown barrel with the trees being affected by wildfires, drought and attacks by insects. It has deep gum veins formed by the ambros...ia beetle, pin holes and squiggly worm marks which are evident and beautiful. It is also known as southern blackbutt or chestnut. Located in Southern Eastern Australia and sourced from the sustainably managed forests in Victoria. This beautiful video is by Rumpus Room Studio, thank you Mike!
