25.01.2022 ATTENTION TO ALL AILFE STUDENTS Please note that AILFE campus will be temporarily closed for 2 weeks starting Monday the 6th of April 2020 until the 17th of April 2020. AILFE campus will reopen on the 20th of April 2020 and our opening hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday until further notice. ... Students will continue to have access to AILFE campus facilities and meet with our staff during opening hours in accordance with the dates above. However, please make an appointment with your trainer if you would like to meet with them in person. (Social distancing requirement must be applied.) If you need to contact us during the closure period (6th April 2020 17th April 2020), please send an email to [email protected]. We will check the email and response on a regular basis. A message to Vocational Training Students (VET) VET students study break will be as per your original timetable which is 3 weeks from 6th April 2020 to 24th April 2020. However, due to COVID 19 (Coronavirus), and following decisions made by the Australian Government, AILFE management has decided to transfer to online teaching across all the VET courses from 28th April 2020. You will receive an email before 28th April 2020 from your trainer in regard to the access to our online teaching platform. Please note that you are still required to submit your assessments on time and your course progress will continue to be monitored. A message to English Students (ELICOS) During the school closure period (6th April 2020 17th April 2020), for our students who are learning English (ELICOS), delivery will continue via online delivery. Please make sure you attend the scheduled class on time and attendance will be recorded as per usual. AILFE will continue to deliver your course online in the future until further notice. Please note that there is a study break for all ELICOS students from the 10th of April 2020 until the 17th of April 2020. In the meantime, we hope that you keep well. 20.01.2022 As part of their learning , the Child Care students will be organizing a food bank drive for Christmas. This is part of a project initiated in July and is now in the final phase. The main aim is community outreach and our focus is providing some relief to the local food bank charity by collecting non perishables for the homeless. The collection point will be in the Child care room, we will have a basket set up for this purpose in the classroom. Jump on-board and help our stud...ents collect as much food as possible! 10.01.2022 These are the scenes from our BBQ on Monday. All of our General English students had a great time enjoying their sausage and onion in a bun, as well as playing a number of different games.

08.01.2022 Here is a video of our full kitchen. With our students taking a break from cooking food you can see the large amount of space and all of the equipment that we have. It has helped our students greatly having the kitchen on campus, and it has helped our staff stay full during the day as well!

03.01.2022 The diploma students have been working on a collaboration project for the past few weeks which involved teamwork, innovative thinking and risk assessment. The focus of the project was " fundraising" which is a common occurrence in early learning settings. We often fund raise to improve a playground or help a needy family within the community. These are just a couple of examples! The students focus was identifying what the aim of their fundraising events would be and after se...veral brainstorming sessions they came up with 2 main ideas A coffee machine in the CC department Helping the homeless. Once the reasons were established we looked at short term goals ( coffee machine ) and long term goals ( helping the homeless)
