19.01.2022 I read something yesterday that I couldnt stop thinking about all day. I want to share it with you in the hope it also shifts your perspective and this cute as pie photo brings a smile to your face. Sometimes I just want it to stop. Talk of COVID, protests, looting, brutality. I lose my way. I become convinced that this new normal is real life. Then I meet an 87-year-old who talks of living through polio, diphtheria, Vietnam protests and yet is still enchanted with life.... He seemed surprised when I said that 2020 must be especially challenging for him. No, he said slowly, looking me straight in the eyes. I learned a long time ago to not see the world through the printed headlines, I see the world through the people that surround me. I see the world with the realization that we love big. Therefore, I just choose to write my own headlines. Husband loves wife today. Family drops everything to come to Grandmas bedside. He patted my hand. Old man makes new friend. I often get asked if I miss Ireland, the answer is yes, always yes but its a little heightened right now when I dont know when I can go home again. There is always something special when I photograph someone from Ireland here in Australia, it reminds me that no matter where I go my home will always be with me

She might me right, her birthday cards are always full with no blank spaces, always packed with beautiful words of support, love and encouragement. 18.01.2022 I often get asked if I get nervous before a wedding. I dont get nervous until this exact moment, not nervous for me but nervous for the person about to walk down the isle and nervous for their partner waiting for them. Its that moment that they have probably rehearsed in their mind for months and its about to play out.

During the reception Larry spoke about watching me from the day they booked me in 2019 to yesterday and let me know how he enjoyed seeing the moments I found my own feet. ... He also reminded me that the photos I take for people end up in their home and in their children’s home as he picked up a wedding photo of both their parents. Were passed the awkward how do we stand, youve told me some of your funny relationship stories, youre kissing like Im not there, were running and being silly. Its where your love looks real, raw and free . I love when we get to this point and Its also the point I claim you as my new mates.

09.01.2022 Karla + Seana Thanks for being you. Karla’s light hearted, kind easy breezy nature mixed with Seana’s caring, affectionate and organised personality made these two an absolute match. ... I know yesterday was not about me but I think I felt every emotion watching these two together all day. Like Karla’s dad mentioned in his speech they we’re always connected, touching at all times like they would lose charge if they were apart to long. It was truely a beautiful day from start to finish.

08.01.2022 One moment that had me in tears at Kristy + Chris wedding was when their youngest son made his speech, he thank them both for being here because without them he wouldnt be alive He also said he loved them more than a pot of gold .. the Irish leprechaun in me wanted to explain the value in a pot of gold but it just wasnt the right time

Jump up on thay rock, run down this road, walk into that field that may or may not have snakes... the list goes on but it's always a good time, might just incorporate a stretch session before we get started

05.01.2022 The tiny moments It's the tiny moments that make up a wedding day. To a stranger this is a photo of two people in a field on their wedding day.... To the couple it's time alone on their wedding day discussing all the flowers Teresa’s mom put together for them by hand. It was her first time doing Boutonnieres and we all learned white tulips flop over in the heat. Photos are not just something you look back at, each photo tells so many stories and each story depends on who’s looking. I’m sure when Teresa’s mom looks at this photo she will remember making those flowers and feel lots of joy.

03.01.2022 those nerves This photo is so beautiful in many ways. To the naked eye it’s two smoking humans laughing on their wedding day eating icecream. To the 3 of us in this moment it was the moment I saw Brittany + Josh really relaxed and their nerves disappear. ... 01.01.2022 Im always so lucky with the couples that invite me and my camera to their wedding. They are always 10/10 legends and so down to earth. Yesterday I had the best afternoon with jo + nadine @paradisecountrygc to do a final walk around their venue before their November wedding. Unfortunately they have to postpone but Im excited I get another 12months of their friendship before my stalking their dogs on Instagram becomes weird. Of course I took the opportunity to practice and snapped some photos of them being cute .
