23.01.2022 Weather is looking good for the weekend. Just a reminder to locals that marine Dve is going to be closed from 6am to 11am on Sunday and golf links Rd will be congested with cyclist from 7:30am to 9:30am. Some of the parking bays at surfers carpark will be blocked off so may need to delay your dogs walk til the afternoon. It will also be slow getting to the beach while the bike leg is on as we will be stopping traffic at marine tce Middleton Rs intersection.

23.01.2022 Ready to race tomorrow. Transition is set up. Rego is open from 5:45am and closes at 6:30am.... The new shark enclosure is not in place so the course will be similar to previous years- just adding an extra 1/4 lap. 2 3/4 laps finishing close to the start point. Then the same cycle course -3 times up the hill and the same run course. Stay safe everyone tomorrow.

20.01.2022 Big shout out to our fabulous helpers. There is no event without the 40 helpers on the day. They gave up there morning for nothing more than the smiles from the athletes

19.01.2022 It's race day tomorrow. Water temp has been warm lately but may have dropped with the rain yesterday. Will definitely be wetsuits for age groups but may not be for open.

05.01.2022 There is still time to enter before next weekends event. I have been looking at the long range forecast and it looks like a cool 23 for the day with a possible shower. Hope the shower comes along in the afternoon.

04.01.2022 Registration closes tomorrow (Friday) at 10am. Last chance to get your entry in. If you have any problems or need to make changes to teams please email the club - [email protected] and we will help sort things out for you.

04.01.2022 The preliminary results including splits are now on the Albany Triathlon Club website. The great news is there were very few miss times on the day (all finish times were recorded). It would appear there was some issue with a couple of teams not sure what they did differently to miss the timing points. If you can see any errors please email the triathlon club at [email protected] and I will investigate. Final results will be published later in the week.

03.01.2022 The swim course is likely to include swimming over the lane rope of the shark barrier on the weekend. I was hoping to keep it inside the barrier but there just isn't enough room without doing lots of laps. Meeghan
