25.01.2022 Time to celebrate - GROUPS are back from 13th July 2020 As Queensland continues to smash the curve we are seeing further restrictions being eased. This means that our Groups Activities Program is ready to come out of hibernation and get the socially-distant party started! To check out our calendar for July: https://allaboutliving.com.au/activities-program/

25.01.2022 Wishing you all a very happy New Year! From all of us at All About Living.

25.01.2022 Have you ever noticed that your automatic response when asked this question is good or ok regardless of how you are actually feeling? We all do it and whether it is as a coping mechanism or we don’t want to bother the person asking it often means that unintentionally we make our interactions with others inauthentic. Social distancing is on everyone’s lips at the moment, but we need to remember that social distancing is physical only. There are many ways that we can connec...t with our family groups, friends and communities without physically seeing them. Make sure you call the people in your life regularly to remind them that you love them and check in with them to ensure that they are feeling ok and coping with the effects of COVID-19. If you are in the position of not having close knit circle of friends or family, there are many resources available to you. Please reach out to any of the following if you need help or just want to have a chat to someone: - Lifeline 13 11 14 - Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800 - Beyond Blue 1300 22 4363

24.01.2022 Whether you need wound care, chronic disease management or health monitoring, we offer experienced nurses to keep you out of hospital and in the comfort of your own home. #HomeCare #InHomeNursing #CommunityNursing

24.01.2022 Feel Good Friday’s are back after a small hiatus! Introducing the pets of the office staff at All About Living to brighten your day and make you smile. Today’s adorable pup is Shadow who lives with our Cert III Trainer and Assessor Fiona. Shadow was rescued from the pound by Fiona and her family and has just celebrated his one-year anniversary of living in his forever home. He loves runs on the beach, meeting new people and participating in Skype calls with his Grandma (Fiona’s mum). Sounds like he has himself sorted for ISO-LYFE doesn’t it? 24.01.2022 The team at All About Living hope that you have had a lovely day celebrating your father's today. The celebration may have been different to previous years, with social distancing still a high priority however we are sure the love was felt all the same.

24.01.2022 What can you do to protect yourself in these unprecedented times... Practice good social distancing at least 1.5 metres apart; Practice regular hand hygiene; Stay at home as much as possible; Ensure you receive all your information from reputable ... sources like the Australian Department of Health at https://www.health.gov.au/; & Download the Coronavirus Australia app. Recent reports on the media show that we are seeing a flattening in the curve, which is great! Let’s ensure that we continue to show that Australians can beat this virus together!

18.01.2022 These days most of your news feed is full information about COVID-19. For most people this is causing stress and anxiety. To combat this the team at All About Living thought we would do Feel Good Fridays where we introduce you to the pets of our team. Today’s model belongs Elvira our Service Delivery Coordinator. Her name is Bonnie and she is a Pugalier which is a cross between a Pug and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Like most small dogs she works hard and plays even harder and her favourite activity is playing fetch every afternoon with Elvira. Comment below and let us know what your fur baby’s favourite activity is.

18.01.2022 Today is R U OK Day and is a great reminder to check in with friends and loved ones to make sure that they are coping with the pressures of life. Sometimes those who look like they have it all together that are actually falling apart on the inside. R U OK Day goes both ways too. If you have someone check in on you, be honest if you're not coping or feeling the best in life at the moment. This year has been hard for all Australians and we need to look out for each other. 08.01.2022 You only need to spend a couple of minutes on any social media platform to see how other people are staying connected. A couple of great ideas we’ve heard are: - Having a WhatsApp dinner with a group friends on a Friday night; - Sitting outside an elderly relative’s house and talking on the ... phone with them so they can see you but still remain safe; - Sending funny memes to friends; - Leaving handwritten letters or pictures drawn by your children in your elderly neighbour’s letterbox. Great way to practice English and Art and keep the kids occupied for a little while; & - For those missing loved ones overseas having a messenger call and one person having dinner with a glass of champagne while the other person has breakfast with a glass of champagne. What are your favourite ways to keep in contact with your loved ones?

08.01.2022 Registration is OPEN for our mid-year intake of our Award-winning training in Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing). 05.01.2022 This year ANZAC Day preparations have been unlike any other year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There have been minimal stands selling poppy’s or badges and all dawn services have been cancelled due to social distancing restrictions. We as a community have been asked to pay our respects by standing in our driveway tomorrow morning at 6am. Tune your radio in to your favourite Brisbane radio station as they will be playing a short service at 6am sharp or you may be lucky and have neighbours who play musical instruments who might be performing The Last Post live for their street. What are your plans for honouring our ANZACs? Leave us a comment below.
