10.01.2022 Hi all... I've got a couple of programs coming up to celebrate the Easter break, playing gospel/inspirational music. Firstly, on Thursday 9th April at 5pm, two hours of gospel/rock music, some from Jesus Christ Superstar, some from Godspell, and some Bob Dylan from his album Slow Train Coming. Some Elvis/ Johnny Cash as well. Then at 8pm, a jazz history special which asks the question, is there more than a tenuous connection between jazz and religion? Some great spiritual...s and gospel songs in a jazz vein, features, amongst others, the Yarra Yarra Jazz Band and Melbourne New Orleans Jazz Band, recorded in the early 1960s. That'll take you back. Given that there are no church services this Easter, Alpine Radio can fill in with these locally-produced programs. And on Easter Sunday, Peace in the Valley at 3pm, and Praise in the Alps at 5pm, so you don't miss out on your regular local services. - Enjoy - Nick Brown Out of our broadcasting area but still want to tune in?
