24.01.2022 The beautiful unspoiled Bay of Islands. A must do for all who havent been. I kayaked from Long Beach in Russell to both islands. An amazing experience that I highly recommend!

23.01.2022 A little French cafe in the heart of Russell to call into for lunch, morning or afternoon tea. A short walk or drive from Altea. Such a pretty tranquil spot right on the water! Located next door to Pompallier House.

20.01.2022 Ngawha natural hot springs are on the main land approximately 45minutes-1 hours drive from Aleta. These are natural geo thermal pools. All different temperatures with different healing properties. Amazing and worth a trip.

05.01.2022 You cant go past the awesome fishing in the Bay of Islands. Kingfish & Snapper are the bomb! You can cook your catch at Altea Studio Apartments!

02.01.2022 For the walking enthusiasts you cant go past the Russell to Russel Walk. You walk from Russell to Okiato then catch the fairy to Opua and walk to Paihia then catch the fairy back to Russell. Approximately 5 hours. Beautiful native forests to mangroves to coast. Truely beautiful! And of course fish and chips for lunch and a thick shake to refuel in Opua.
