Categories on our program for the Sandown round include 944 Racing Association Inc, Hyundai Excel Racing Association of Victoria, Formula Ford, Historic Touring Cars and some others we'll be announcing very soon. 17.01.2022 Entries for the Shannons Motorsport Australia Festival at Sandown December 12th/13th are now open on the Cams website (Sorry Motorsport Australia's website). Just go into the member portal and enter from there. If you had previously entered this meeting (Was going to be on Nov8th) and hadn't withdrawn your entry will roll over to this event. Just check the entry list to see if you are on it before entering. https://motorsport.org.au/home The format for the event is Saturday... Qualifying Race 1 - 10 laps Sunday Race 2 - 10 laps Race 3 - 10 laps We will be doing something a little different in how the event will be run. Race 1 will be starting from your qualifying positions Race 2 we will be reversing each group of 10. For example if you finish 1st in race 1 you will start race 2 from 10th. If you finished 20th you will start from 11th etc Race 3 grid order will be started based on points earned in race 1 and race 2. Get your entry in and lets finish the year off with actually being able to race and have some fun! See more

16.01.2022 So the suspension tender documentation has been released (see link below) with submissions due by end of August and selection of the new control package by 14th October 2020. A lot of the paddock discussuon to date has been on which of the existing suspension packages would be selected, however reading the tender documentation, it is likely to require an entirely new suspension package to be purchased for everyone. 14.01.2022 With circuit excels at access 2020 we are lucky to have a touch of "Days of Thunder" with the #85 excel of Glenn Mackenzie. Glenn, how long have you been a PIAR...C member and how did you get involved in racing? Joined PIARC during Covid so only a few months I did a few track days in a VS Clubsport I owned back in 2009-2010. Occupation. Sales Manager & Business Owner Years in Motorsport. 1 ( 2 if you count this year..) Racing Career Highlights to date. My first ever race weekend at Sandown, never been so nervous but had so much fun especially passing someone for the first time. Best and Worst moments in Motorsport? Best moment would be receiving the Hard Charger award at Winton where qualified last with a gear selector issue but then got it sorted and worked my way up to around 12th for the weekend that was great fun. Worst moment was a clutch failure at Sandown this year resulting in a DNF Hobbies / Interests outside Motorsport. Golf, AFL, Music, Movies, Food/Wine/Beer Who are your Sponsors / supporters I work full time but during lockdown started a side business to help fund racing called Equipment Link Australia which sells hydraulic components online, im also luck to be supported by Menace Customs, Scarcella Designz & AMR Motorsport Any upgrades to your car during lockdown. New motor built by Adam at AMR at the start of the year which is in now ready to go plus some other minor changes. What are you looking forward to at PIARC access circuit excel challenge. I always look forward to racing at Phillip Island it’s such an iconic track watching all the greats from when I was a kid race there to now having the chance to do it is great. All the guys and girls that race in the Excel category are fantastic to spend time with and race along side of. The field that has entered Access 2020 shows how popular Phillip Island is amongst the competitors so a full reverse grid will be heaps of fun and no doubt create great racing. 02.01.2022 Lukes been sorting out the roof for the Xc cobra. The original roof was completely pitted and rusted all the way through all over it was terrible. So we heard ...of an idea of using a sedan roof so we cut up one of my own parts cars and started playing. The overall roof is longer then a coupe which is perfect as luke cut off the excess and reshaped the back section to be just like a coupe. Using the original as an template and to template off. The front of the roof is completely different so we used that part off the original funny enough it was one of the better sections, and from Jamie at kustom garage he makes the sides to order so with all that sorted we have a roof. The things you do when you can’t buy so you improvise. Looks great. Enjoy. See more
