The Nature Conservancy organised a women-only workshop of leaders and community members from islands in the area - Yap, The Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae. 12.01.2022 HerExcellency Hilda Heine inspired the crowds with here resilient determination in advocating for climate change and gender leadership in her various speaking occasions at ANU. She was especially proud to hear of the cohort of the success and contributions of Marshallese and Micronesian students in ANU over the years --and their research.

02.01.2022 As a boy I remember going to a Junior Police meeting. This was an organization established to provide youth with positive activities and this night we watched a... movie about the nuclear test on Bikini. It was implied that this was an uninhabited island. In 1966 I went to Micronesia as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Only then did I find out that bikini was NOT uninhabited. We must "Remember The Destruction Of A community" and see that such a thing NEVER happens again. Please read this article and share it.

01.01.2022 Ever thought that the Australian government was acting against the interests of the Pacific? Dumping refugees in Nauru? Promoting new coal mines? Shutting down ...Radio Australia’s shortwave broadcasts? Blocking regional support for self-determination in Kanaky, Bougainville and West Papua? Now’s the time to have a say! The Australian government is preparing a White Paper on Foreign Affairs, and there’s an opportunity for people around the Pacific to make submissions. The Foreign Policy White Paper Taskforce will accept submissions until 28 February 2017. A call for submissions paper identifies the key issues and questions DFAT thinks are important and is aimed at stimulating debate and discussion. Submissions will be welcomed on these and any other issues you consider relevant to inform development of Australia’s international engagement agenda in the Pacific over the next five to ten years.
