25.01.2022 Pits will be open from 2:30pm today Make sure that you have enclosed shoes on when entering the pit area and your Speedway Australia card ready at the pit window if you have one. 25.01.2022 Competitor info for Saturday 29 December: Pit parking allocation map below. Again a reminder to not move the bins. We have 122 cars nominated for tonight, so please park as close as you can so that everyone can fit in. Also to expedite entry please ensure you have the correct footwear on and if you have a S/Aust card that you have it ready to present to the girls. No card, no discount.... Track Pack and engine starts are from 4.30pm. We are opening the pit gates at 2pm, due to amount of competitors. Also please do not stop to chat through the driveway... again, we need to get everyone in as quickly as possible, so your co-operation is appreciated. Wishing everyone a safe night's racing.

25.01.2022 Competitor info Saturday 9 March: Please see pit allocation map below. Private cars are not permitted in the pit area (unless VIP with car pass). Pit gates will open from 2.30pm. Engine Starts and Track pack from 4:30pm. Open Sedans Heat 1 will be up first at 4:55pm... We do have a lot of competitors this Saturday therefore please ensure you park close together so everyone can fit. Reminders - please ensure you have correct footwear before entering pit chute/driveway. If you have a Speedway Australia card, please have it ready to show. It must be a card or a photo of the card to get the discount. Expired cards will be confiscated. Don't leave tyres behind, otherwise your club will be fined. There is to be NO live streaming of the event. Persons found streaming will be asked to leave the venue immediately.

Just a reminder to make sure everyone but the transport driver exits the vehicle prior to entering the pit driveway - and ensure you have covered footwear and Speedway Aust card ready if you have one - so we can get everyone in as quickly as possible. 25.01.2022 Competitor update - Saturday 22 August: PRACTICE IS GOING AHEAD AS SCHEDULED. The new restrictions announced today DO NOT affect our operations - HOWEVER, it is more imperative than ever that you ensure YOU MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING of 1.5m and STAY WITH YOUR OWN RACE CAR at all times unless going up to the hill to spectate (where you MUST social distance), or using amenities. If anyone breaches the rules - you will be asked to leave the venue immediately. And if you have an...y Flu like symptoms whatsoever - Do not attend. We thank you for your co-operation and understanding. This practice is not open to the general public, as with all the new restrictions and changes we have had to implement, we are focusing on our race teams for this one. See more

A reminder to teams that we have returned to pre-covid practice of passengers exiting the tow vehicle to get their pit pass from the ticket box. Please ensure you have covered footwear on before approaching the pit driveway and if you have a Speedway Australia licence, please have it ready to show staff. ...Engine starts for everyone are from 4.30pm and first heat from 4.50. With midget hot laps scheduled from 5.05 and Sprintcars from 5.25pm. Please don't move the bins in the pits, as they are marked out to fit everyone in. 24.01.2022 Competitor Info for first practice night - Saturday August 28: Gates will be open from 2.30pm. Practice will get underway from approx 4.30pm. Whilst Nominations are not required, for planning purposes it does help if you let us know you are coming - so we can organise a run sheet. If you can either fb message or email your name, car division and car number.... The Entry conditions have not changed since last season - ie. the driver stays in the vehicle and everyone else is required to exit the vehicle and pay at the Ticket box. Under current COVID restrictions - you DO NOT have to wear a mask outdoors, UNLESS you are unable to stay 1.5 metres away from people who are not from your household. As we are an outdoor event (without dancing), you DO NOT have to check-in using the Qld COVID check in app. FOR EATING AND DRINKING - You must be SEATED. 23.01.2022 10.45am Update - Mother Nature is watering the track for us - she's thoughtful like that - and hopefully she knows that's enough now ;) Radar is looking okay f...or the moment, and track is holding up nicely... 23.01.2022 We are ready to SPRING in to action with our first official practice night kicking off from 5pm today. Gates Open from 3pm. Standard Pit rules apply. General Admission Free. Pit Admission $50 or $40 with a current Speedway Australia card. We aim to finish by around 9.30pm.

It will be a very full pits, so please follow directions and park between allocated bins. Track Pack/Engine starts are from 4.15pm, first race from 4.25pm (Stockcars). Sprintcar Engine starts 5pm. If you are feeling unwell, or have been in a COVID hotspot in the last 14 days, do not attend. ... Practice Social distancing whenever possible and remember there is now an additional pit viewing area in turns 1 & 2. Please write your name, address and phone number to show to staff at pay station to help make it a speedy process for you. Also have Speedway Australia licence ready before you arrive at pay station, if you have one. As we have nearly 140 competitors, we advise you arrive earlier rather than later - hence gates are open from 1pm, so we don't get a mad rush of everyone coming after 3pm... 21.01.2022 Competitor Info for Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October: Pit Gates open from 1pm. Main gates also open from 1pm. Track Pack and Engine Starts from 4.40pm Saturday and 4.50pm Sunday.... If you are feeling unwell, or have been in a COVID hotspot in the last 14 days, do not attend. Entry procedures is as per our official practice nights: Remain in tow vehicle until you arrive at a pay table. All persons exit vehicle to the one pay table. Please provide name, address and phone number to staff. It is easier if you have these written down on a piece of paper to show staff. If you have a speedway Australia card, please have it ready on the APP BEFORE YOU GET TO THE GATE. ENSURE YOU HAVE CLOSED IN FOOTWEAR ON BEFORE YOU GET TO THE GATE otherwise you hold everyone up while we wait for you to put your shoes on. If you or your crew are arriving separate to your tow vehicle, go to the pit ticket box. Ensure you maintain social distancing at ticket box and follow ground markings. Please try to have correct change for payment. IMPORTANT RULES WHILST AT VENUE: PIT ENTRY is restricted to ACTIVELY INVOLVED PARTICIPANTS ONLY. We have not limited crew numbers, however please use common sense to not overcrowd. Stay with your own race team at all times and within your allocated parking area, unless on pit hill. If going on to pit hill must maintain 1.5m Social Distancing Drivers briefings will take place at allocated pit parking area for each division Strictly no cross over between General and Pits please stand back 1.5m from any dividing fences At the conclusion of racing PITS WILL REMAIN CLOSED TO ANYONE WITHOUT AN ARMBAND. This includes families who have been in General admission. Please pack up as soon as racing is finished and vacate the venue as quickly as possible. 21.01.2022 We are in a 'Watch and Hold' pattern, waiting to see if the weather bureau have got it right or not... The forecast is for storms to hit by approximately midday... and continue through the afternoon/evening. If that occurs, we will have to cancel tonight's event. With that in mind, we are pushing Pit and Main Gate Opening times back to 2pm, to give us more time to monitor the situation and see if Mother Nature is coming for us. 19.01.2022 11am Update - there is some shower activity starting to appear out west, however it doesn't appear to be anything major... yet... We will provide a further upda...te at midday. If we could be 100% guaranteed it is going to rain at Archerfield this-afternoon, we would have no hesitation in cancelling the event now, but even Weatherzone has us at a 67% chance of rain - that's 33% hope that it won't. Call us optimistic ;) So we wait, watch and keep our fingers crossed against all odds... For those that purchased tickets online, we will be REFUNDING EVERYBODY’s tickets, as the forecast is not great for the next few days, it is easier to process refunds rather than exchange tickets to a latter event. 17.01.2022 2pm update - The rain appears to have stalled at Mt Gravatt for the moment. We are going to give it 30 minutes more to see if it is going to clear or hit us... We appreciate your patience, and the last thing we want to do is call it off and then it doesn't rain. We invite you to watch the radar with us.. and the concern is the heavy rain currently between Cleveland and Mt Gravatt. If that does hit us, we won't be able to proceed. Please if you have a Speedway Australia licence, have it ready to show staff before getting to gate/driveway. Could you also remind your friends and family that the pits are CLOSED to everyone at the end of the night under COVID restrictions. This is the Qld Health Directive:... "Strict physical distancing measures and hygiene practices will remain central to COVID Safe Site-Specific Plans, in line with Public Health Directions. Group segmentation and buffering measures will be used to reduce co-mingling" It is NOT OKAY to have people associated with teams abuse our staff at the end of the night. If you see this happening, please assist our staff, as the only alternative is to lock the pit gates until all teams have packed up and people out the front have vacated the area. We understand it is a difficult time for everyone, but we have to abide by the Government directives, otherwise we close. 16.01.2022 Competitor Update for tomorrow's practice - Saturday 22 August. Please see below pit parking map. It is imperative you remain in your allocated pit area, unless heading up to Turn 1 and 2 to watch. The Pit area and General Admission area's will be segregated AT ALL TIMES - this includes before and after the event. That is: if you purchase pit pass - you can not go up to general area, and vice versa. Turns 1 and 2 will be open to the pits only - to increase pit viewing area.... Please ensure you have read the entry information emailed to your club prior to attending. Please follow all instructions from officials and staff and we should have a safe and smooth event. With the latest update on Weatherzone forecasting Intermittent rain from 6pm and chance of showers from 3pm, we have made the unpr...ecedented decision to postpone tonight’s event to Tomorrow afternoon. We have made this decision due to recent rainouts and also the fact we have a fine forecast for tomorrow and the majority of competitors have indicated they are available. Gates will be open from 11am, Racing from 2.15pm, with Sprintcar Time trails from 3.15pm. Last race will be scheduled to go on at 8pm, so it is an earlier finish for everyone to still get to bed at a reasonable hour on a Sunday. 10.01.2022 Practice update - 9.45am Good news is there hasn't been a lot of rain overnight or this-morning at the track - we are now just monitoring the radar to see wheth...er tonight's practice will go ahead... The rain now appears to be located predominantly south of the track with not much showing out to the west of Archerfield... You too can also follow along by watching the radar - if you have nothing else to do ;) More good news it that the 'Willy Weather' forecast has it being mostly clear after 4pm... our choice of forecast for today :) We will post a further update at 10.45am Hopefully we can get some practice in... With 155 cars nominated, please ensure you park between marked bins, do not move them, and park in the allocated areas. Pit gates will be open from 1pm and pit tickets are only available from the gate on the day. Main gates also open from 1pm for online ticket holders. Make sure you have closed in footwear before approaching ticket booth.... To ensure you don't hold up the line, please have your speedway australia licence ready to show staff before you get to them. There has been some confusion over our price entry policy for the pit area. It is $50. If you have an ANNUAL Speedway Australia License/card, you get a $10 discount, therefore $40. The Speedway Australia One-Day Pit License or One day licence DOES NOT entitle you to the discount. We provide the discount for annual license holders for supporting speedway australia. We do not enforce the one-day pit license, however it is strongly recommended as it includes complimentary accident insurance whilst in the pit area. Early racing will get underway from approx 4pm. 07.01.2022 RESTRICTIONS LIFTED! We are excited to announce that under the latest Qld Health Government directives, we are no longer subject to density or co-mingling restrictions - meaning the pits are now OPEN again for general public to purchase pit tickets, Crossing over between areas if you have a pit band and end of night Open access to everyone. Additionally as we are an outdoor event, we are no longer required to collect contact details for COVID tracing for patrons or participan...ts. Therefore pits will revert back to the pre-COVID Indemnity pads, where by patrons will complete and sign the waiver. It is still imperative everyone practices Social Distancing, and masks should be worn if you can't social distance. 06.01.2022 Saturday October 13 event has been CANCELLED due to inclement weather. Unfortunately the forecast is correct today, and we have therefore had to cancel tonight'...s event. We would just like to point out that so many times it can be raining everywhere else and the weather goes around and misses the track. We made the decision to wait until this-morning, in the slight hope, as has happened before, that the sun may have come out... Unlike normal businesses, we only have one day a week to try and make it work... So for those that are so quick to make a decision and judge, before you do next time - think how many times the forecasters get it wrong and mother nature changes her mind... 06.01.2022 1.15pm update - we are currently experiencing some rain at the Speedway. At this time, we have delayed opening gates until 2pm. We are monitoring the radar and will provide a further update at 2pm. If the rain eases in the next hour, we will be able to go ahead, however if it continues we will have to cancel. 05.01.2022 Competitor info for Saturday 17 April (or potentially Sunday 18 April): Please see pit parking map below. Pit Gates are scheduled for 1pm today. A decision will be made at midday whether to just postpone to Sunday. If we postpone to Sunday, pit gates will 11am. If you didn't see the post yesterday, all restrictions are now lifted, and we can therefore return to Pre-COVID sign in and entry etc. Under Qld Health recommendations, if you can't Social Distance, it is still recommended you wear a mask.
