14.01.2022 Another mind boggling number of wheels framed and posted off to Charters Towers in Qld! I often get asked if I use a ruler and when you look at this you might be surprised to hear the answer is NO! It’s all freehand! 14.01.2022 The stories behind what I’m drawing very much inspire me! This is Garrys truck he drove for Vivian Haulage for more than 20 years! They referred to him as their No 1 driver! Garry and his family live on a remote property in Kaniva Victoria. On Good Friday this year whilst his wife was out working and home with his sons Garry suffered a heart attack leaving his 13 year old son to provide CPR whilst awaiting emergency services, Garry sadly did not survivetoday would be his 50t...h birthday! I hope this piece helps his family heal This story is very close to home for me as at 47 years of age and exactly one month after Garrys passing I myself suffered a major heart attack! I am one of the lucky ones being kept alive with a stent. I’m very somber for this family today and they are very much in my heart, I feel so privileged to have been asked to draw this for his family! Happy 50th to you Garry I hope you are resting in peace! See more
