23.01.2022 Royalle Imprint update... So this happened today.... First ride back under saddle since last September... when playing in the pdk he ruptured his suspensory ligaments both branchs on side of fetlock in a slip doing a big playful stop. ... Hes improved enough to commence some gentle walking work. Straight lines, no quick turns or pivots, and very carefully supported by the best boots money can buy! Seemed fitting the first rider is lame Janet McHugh who still cant use her left leg to ride. The temperament of this stallion! No lunge, no work, fat fat fat, pulled from pdk saddled up climbed on off a four wheeler and ridden off like it was yesterday! Enjoy, 8 minutes video we didnt think wed ever see again.

22.01.2022 Royalle Imprint and his daughter Ashover Storm Song were out and about at dressage yesterday. Along with our beautiful Paint Just Opal. Results were: Janet McHugh @ Dressage Extravaganza show... Prep C & Prep D unofficial- 1st place on Ashover Storm Song, scoring 56% & 55% on this baby girl who’s had less then 20 rides under saddle, a lovely settled mare who coped really well today. Unofficial Preliminary 1B, 2nd place on Just Opal, with a 61% Unofficial preliminary 1C, 5th on Just opal with a 64% Amanda McHugh at Dressage Extravaganza show, Royalle Imprint Offical Preliminary 1C - 69.464% for First place Offical Preliminary 1B - 61.964 % for 3rd place(got a 2 point fault here as i misheard my caller letter of P as B and went off course slightly) Official Novice 2B - 6 th place from 10, with a 60.147 % - really pleased with our first novice test result, lots to work on, but very happy with our first attempt at it especially as we’ve only been training novice 6 weeks. 21.01.2022 Imprint update. As many know my beautiful stallion suffered a career ending paddock accident late last year with him tearing completely off the bone both ligaments at the branch off the back of his fetlock. We underwent many months of therapy, bandages, and treatments, and pretty well tried everything suggested in the hopes a recovery might be had... sadly, 6 months post injury this is looking extremely unlikely. Imprints leg remains extremely swollen particularly in the fe...tlock area, he is not lame and never has been, and is enjoy life as a very pampered pdk pet, but we do have to face reality that returning to an active performance career is not going to ever happen. At this stage we are also uninterested in standing him at public stud, his book having closed a year ago. Weve decided to leave his book closed at this time. Imprint will continue to enjoy a life of leisure and relaxation and we will enjoy his company as long as he cares to grace us, may that be many years to come. We have received many messages inquiring how he was going, i hope i have replied to you all, but it been a very difficult time to come to terms with, a huge amount of hopes and dreams went to rest with his completely unplanned early retirement, and as yet I am still working out what if anything is next... For now, a pdk pet he shall be.

This is our third ...training session on liberty work. Sadly the hugely rising costs of hay (doubled in price in last five months) the lack of available hay to buy (we go through over 360 round bales a year alone) and the increasing costs of feed, and grain, plus huge time restraints between our two very busy businesses has made continuing to breed foals, run on younstock to start and sell or sustain breedi...ng mares long term completely unviable, in a severely suppressed market for young stock and horses in general, weve decided we are dispersing all bar those mares we choose to retain to ride in coming years or use in our business and our stallions who will be retained.
