22.01.2022 AHVC is also Wild Vets Zoo and Wildlife Consultancy and today I was involved in doing a CT scan on a spider monkey who thankfully turned out to be ok. Technology is incredible these days. As vets we are so lucky to have options for pets and wild animals to assist us with our diagnosis and plans for the welfare of animals.

14.01.2022 Oh my heart. This is one of my all time favourite animals. Having worked with these incredibly intelligent and gentle animals for the last 4 years. This is fantastic news for the species. Every new birth is so important and precious.

13.01.2022 Made some new friends today. This is the first time I have ever encountered this breed of Dog. I bet most of you have never heard of the Catahoula Louisiana Leopard dog! What cuties.

12.01.2022 In between consults today I made a special visit to Pig and Sanchez. Brothers from another mother and brothers to Dakota (a dog) and sons of my beautiful friend (BFF). You know who you are!!! Here are the boys! Sanchez is the tricolour. All pets are bootiful.

12.01.2022 Camels have a beautiful smile but not the best teeth. This is a young female not quite 3 and they loose their teeth prior to this age. She’s having a pumpkin treat hence the cute yellow lips. She’s beautiful.

11.01.2022 Look out for ticks. I’m passing on this message from someone who is always fur deep in dogs. Please get you long haired dogs and cats tick clipped (that’s a short clip) so it’s easy to find ticks and make sure you are up to date with tick prevention.
