25.01.2022 On this Remembrance Day I am grateful to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As we celebrate NAIDOC week let us also acknowledge our Nation’s First Peoples and the Traditional Owners of our land who fought beside our fathers, grandfathers, brothers and sons. I also pay homage to the many women who have served our country in times of war including Alma Beard who lost her life at the massacre at Banka Island.

13.01.2022 Katitjin - To Listen and Learn. As someone who works with students in the leadership space, I was so impressed last night when I attended Wesley College's Katitijin Social Justice Art Exhibition. Katitjin is a unique experiential learning program that challenges and extends Year 8 boys. The program takes learning beyond the classroom (the boys work out of the CBD for an entire term) into a range of challenging and inspirational environments to develop growth, leadership skills, team work, and an outward looking focus to the wider community. I wanted a name for my consultancy business that didn't pigeon hole me into one consulting area - i.e. strategy, communications, marketing, leadership coaching. I wanted something that represented me but didn't want to use my full name because if the business grows it doesn't reflect others who might work with, or for me, so atariam was the perfect choice. Now you know!
