20.01.2022 Just been working on some photo restorations for John Byrne and came across this panorama made by Photographer Bob Belbin back in around 1928 of skiffs on Cleveland Bay. Note the Swastika's on sails thought to be a good luck symbol well before WWII. Thanks for the photograph John.

19.01.2022 Moving pictures of the view out the front of Windin Falls. Spectacular horizon pool drops away deeply with spectacular views over the Mulgrave Valley

18.01.2022 Took a drive north yesterday to capture a couple of contrasting landscapes. Cooktown is a spectacular place. #Cooktown

16.01.2022 Flock of beautiful king parrots visiting our bird feeder at Sharlynn. One of Australia's most colourful birds, and not shy either.

11.01.2022 Very fortunate to be the official photographer for the Malanda Theatre Company on the opening night of Monty Python's "Spamalot". Very talented group of actors, singers and musicians supported by a large team in the background. Get along to this not to be missed musical/comedy. #livetheatre

10.01.2022 Bill Tweddell - Chancellor - James Cook University "James Cook University has used Mr de Rooy’s services for over 15 years to take the official photographs of the Council, the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor and has always found him to be thoroughly professional, highly competent and a joy to work with. In 2016, following my appointment as Chancellor, I experienced firsthand Mr de Rooy’s high technical proficiency and great facility for working with people when James Cook University’s official photographs were taken. I recommend him highly."

Kept busy helping guests enjoy our Bed and Breakfast at Sharlynn by the River, Malanda and also photographing lots of scenes, wildlife and people around the Tablelands. See our new website here https://www.tablelandphotography.com.au/
