24.01.2022 Hi everyone, just letting you know we’ve had to cancel the Aussie Hoops sessions for today due to the storm. The stadium has no power, which means no toilets and the courts are coated in a thick dust from the winds earlier yesterday. There is also a fence down outside.... The season will run 1 week longer to make up for the missed session today. Apologies and we’ll see you on court next Sunday.

24.01.2022 Aussie Hoops in Kalgoorlie-Boulder is back for Term 2! We're excited to get Aussie Hoops back on the Goldfields basketball calendar. Our Term 2 program will be commencing from Tuesday 25th May for all children aged 5-10.... With the ability to cater for any skill level, our Rookies and Starters programs are designed for the absolute novice to those who have been through the program before. The six session program will now be running on Tuesdays throughout May and June. 21.01.2022 Hi everyone, Due to availability issues for our coaches this weekend as many of them are away for representative basketball, we have made the decision to postpone the return of our Aussie Hoops program by a week. For those who would still like to come down and shoot around, the basketball stadium will still be open during this time, so feel free to come and shoot some hoops!... Our first session will now be Sunday 17th February. Due to this we will be extending our season by a week. Our session dates for the remainder of this season are as follows. 17th February 24th February 10th March 17th March 24th March There will be no session on the 3rd of March due to the long weekend holiday. Session times still remain the same. Rookies (Ages 5-7) 9am-10am All-Stars (Ages 7-10) 10am-11:30am For any new players wanting to register, you can go online to www.aussiehoops.com and register for our programs there. 20.01.2022 Pleased be advised that we've had to permanently change the start time for our Boys All-Star Program for those aged 8-9. The sessions will now be from 10am each week for the remainder of the program. Apologies for the change in time from our originally scheduled time, but due to a couple of factors, we feel that this is necessary going forward.... The Rookie session (Ages 5-7) from 9am and the All-Star girls session (Ages 8-9) from 10am will remain at their original time. 17.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a reminder about our discussions with the older groups last week to consolidate them together and run them at 9am at the same time as the younger groups. We have multiple courts to work with, so there is plenty of room for all groups to work in. With our reduced numbers for term 1, it works in well with parents who have to return for the late session as well as getting everything finished before things get hot later in the morning. ... 15.01.2022 Aussie Hoops in Kalgoorlie-Boulder is back for Summer in 2018 & 2019! In a change from previous years, we are combining our registrations to include both Term 4 in 2018 and Term 1 in 2019. We've continued on with our Under 10's program for all children aged 8-9 who are have enrolled with Aussie Hoops previously or have some basketball skill and knowledge.... Now known as the All-Stars program, it's a longer session that will include a full game as well as still focusing on skill development and is a great avenue for getting kids ready to step up into club basketball once they turn 10. There is no need to buy a Aussie Hoops players pack for the All-Stars program as we will be providing playing singlets to use for each game. We've still got our introductory level sessions, which will cater for our Rookies and Starters depending on their skill level. These are aimed at kids 5-7 who are new to basketball. All sessions are on Sunday mornings and will run over 11 weeks in November/December and February/March excluding school holidays and public holidays. First session is Sunday 4th of November 2018. Sub-junior basketball is back with our Under 10's program. ... It has been revamped to be more game orientated and has a new playing day, with game sessions now on Saturday mornings. Aimed for children aged 7-9 who are have enrolled with Aussie Hoops previously or have some basketball skill and knowledge. Known as the Aussie Hoops "All-Stars" program, it includes a full game as well as still focusing on skill development and is a great avenue for getting kids ready to step up into local club basketball once they turn 10. First session is Saturday 9th of November 2019. Our introductory level sessions are back bigger and better than ever and will cater for kids aged 5-7 who are new or relatively new to basketball. our Aussie Hoops "Rookie and Starter" sessions are on Sunday mornings and will run over 10 weeks in November/December and February/March excluding school holidays and public holidays. 07.01.2022 COVID-19 IMPORTANT UPDATE March 17th 2020 - 3:15pm Hi everyone,... As per our message this morning, we've been intensely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and taking direction from our governing body, Basketball WA. We have just received word that all affiliated competitions are to be suspended effective immediately. This means all games, trainings, Aussie Hoops sessions and development sessions. Based on this it is with a heavy heart that we have to advise that all KBBA competitions are now cancelled, including all junior Grand Finals due to be played tonight and Thursday night. This also means the Niels Hansen Stadium is now closed effective immediately for ANY use. The KBBA Board will be meeting to discuss the outcome of these junior finals and how we progress from here going forward. 04.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that we will still be running the Aussie Hoops sessions tomorrow, but will be altering the time of the later session due to the nearby St Barbara's Festival parade at 11am. 9am - Ages 5-7 (Normal session, will be starting at 9am sharp) 10am - Ages 8+ (Reduced session, will be mostly game only, will run for 50 minutes)... Please note that access to the venue will be restricted due to the parade from around 7am. You'll unlikely have access from Brookman Street or the Bypass Road, so we suggest using either of the following. - Piccadilly Street using Sutherland Street and Broadarrow Road. - Dugan Street then Victoria Street near St. Mary's Primary School.
