25.01.2022 Rosebay Bazadais had an excellent day at the Tiaro Field Day yesterday. Rosebay Major placed first in the Open Bull class Rosebay Lilibet placed first in the O...pen Cow class. We would like to congratulate the organisers of the Cattle Competition on a very well run event. It was very pleasing to see a good crowd of spectators around the ring watching the judging with a good spread of breeds being judged. A big thank you to the sponsors of the competition. 11.01.2022 Bazadais Stud Open Day I would like to invite you to our Bazadais Stud Open day held on the 13th October. On offer will be 15 bulls both Fullblood and Crossbred.... All bulls have been semen tested and Fat and EMA scanned. With the every changing beef industry we have to be ahead of the game. Bazadais crosses have excellent carcase qualities with extremely high meat yield averaging up to 72% . 11.01.2022 We said thank you to Lesley Smith from Rosebay Bazadais and Sue Garrett from Garbrook Bazadais on Saturday at the Bazadais AGM. Both Lesley and Sue have retired from official positions in the Society after so many years of assisting Bazadais members. Lesley had been in an official role as Assistant Secretary and Liasion and minute Secretary since joining as an ABCS member in 2013 and with BBOA for a number of years before that. We sincerely thank Lesley for her assistance and... dedication, A job well done. Sue had been in an official capacity taking on many tasks for the ABCS for almost all of the 22 years since the ABCS inauguration. Sue was the Societys first Secretary in 1998, holding that positions for many years, also our registrar and later as treasurer. We wish both ladies a well-earned rest. Lesley and Sue will still be active in breeding Bazadais, just with a little less work to do. See more

09.01.2022 On behalf of The Australian BazadaisCattle Society, we would like to give our deepest sympathy to Janet Newland and her family on the loss of her son Mervyn. Such devastating news for them and all that knew him. Although he became a Simmental breeder he grew up with Bazadais and still kept many friendships with our members. We will miss this great young man and our heartfelt thoughts and prays go out to his family.

05.01.2022 Dennis Neller had these Bazadais cross weaners on display at the Gin Gin saleyards today during the sale. The weaners range in age from 9 to 10 months and weigh between 250 and 370 kg. Dennis says that he is achieving far better money for his bazadais cross compared to his other breeds.

Not only that his figures are impressive, Joker carries that 1 ton of weight with ease with his tremendous structure, length and depth. Quality genetics all round in this bull. Not many people can breed a bull like this, yet Arthur Hiscock (my Grandfather) from Nioka Bazadais sure does know how. Janet Newlands of Oaktrees Bazadais can also pick them as she chose Joker out at a young age.
