23.01.2022 Some good news just filtering through. Due to the cancellation of the 2020 Australian Sheep & Wool Show, Border Leicesters will be the feature breed for 2021.

23.01.2022 The Muster has asked if any of our members would have any Border photos from the 50s or 60s. So dust off those old albums and lets see what you have. While you are delving into the archives lets have a little friendly competition, who can provide us the oldest show photo. Email your photos through to [email protected] or direct message us here by 8 June. Please remember to include place and date of photo and names of person/s in the photo.

23.01.2022 Flashback Friday is back - this week we are looking back over the years of the Adelaide Royal. It's the first Friday in September which normally would mean show time! Personally it feels weird to be sitting at my desk in the office and not in the stands in the beautiful shed watching the border judging. There are many happy memories from across the years and I will miss this yearly catch up. The Adelaide Royal has always been a show where we could wonder out of the sheep shed for hours and still know that Dad would be exactly where we left him. 18.01.2022 You might be a bit sad with the cancellation of the shows, so we wanted to find a way to stay in touch while still having fun and sharing some laughs. So every Friday we will pick a year and flashback and share some memories from that years shows. So pull out the albums and dig into the archives and share your memories with us. Our first flashback takes us back to 2010 which was a big feature breed year for Borders. Well kick off the trip down memory lane with photos from Australian Sheep & Wool Show Bendigo and the Adelaide Royal. What are your memories of the 2010 shows?

18.01.2022 OFFICIAL UPDATE: Due to increased public concern, to protect the health of stakeholders and visitors, and in response to the Prime Minister and COAGs directio...n that any organised mass gathering over 500 people should be cancelled, the 2020 Sydney Royal Easter Show is cancelled. It is distressing and disappointing to cancel the Show for 2020. There are many people who will be very upset by this decision, and this is the first time the Sydney Royal Easter Show has been cancelled because of a public health emergency since the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1919. The safety and well-being of our patrons and visitors is paramount and out of precaution, and in consultation with NSW Health, The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW has decided this is the best course of action. We appreciate that the cancellation of the Show is a huge disappointment for our Show community, particularly exhibitors and visitors from rural and regional NSW who love attending the Show to catch up with friends and celebrate with us every year. We are implementing a number of measures to deal with ticket and entry fee refunds and will be in contact with ticket holders and exhibitors regarding this process within the next five working days. You will find regular updates on the Sydney Royal Easter Show website: https://fal.cn/373Pa We appreciate your understanding and patience as our team works through the logistics and issues that come with cancelling an event of the scale and complexity of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

06.01.2022 After extensive consideration, it is with much sadness that the Society is obliged to cancel the 2020 Royal Adelaide Show. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pan...demic, and the current restrictions in place for public gatherings, along with the uncertainty of any timeline around lifting restrictions, it makes it unworkable to hold a large event such as the Show in 2020. The decision not to go ahead with the 2020 Royal Adelaide Show has not been taken lightly. It is deeply disappointing to reach this decision; however, it has been carefully evaluated and considered. It is felt the position the Society has taken is in the best interest of public health and the broader community. The Society will now turn its attention to planning and presenting a fantastic Spring Show in 2021.

05.01.2022 The 29th Annual Horsham Show & Sale was held today. Trevor James of Coolawang, was given the difficult job of judging the lineup of 36 quality rams. Results from the Show: 1st - Geraldine 2nd - Tara 3rd - Glenlee Park... 4th - Blackgate 5th - Baringa 6th - Bauer Results from the Sale: Geraldine topped the sale with Lot 2 selling for $11,000, Lot 6 from Bauer made $10,000, followed by Glenlee Park getting $7,500 for both rams offered. 02.01.2022 A Great Day at Melbourne Royal 2019. A selection of scan cards from ALL who exhibited. Have a look at these fantastic results!! Again showing the consistency of the Border Leicester breed. Nearly 70% of rams showing EMD higher than 50.
