AI started on Wednesday at Renown Farm and will be completed over the next four weeks. ...This year, 23 bulls will be mated to about 1400 mixed-age dairy cows at Pamu Wairakei’s Renown Farm near Taupo. There are eight breeds represented: Angus, Australian Lowline, Hereford, Murray Grey, Red Devon, Simmental, Speckle Park and Stabilizer. Beef Australia has made a Youth Scholarship available for furthering the education of Junior Judges so that they are skilled enough to act as Associate Judges at Beef Australia 2021. All ALCA Junior Members and School Members, and children of Full Members are eligible to enter. *Applications will be judged according to the criteria outlined in the Application form.
