20.01.2022 Today Rosa (in her dual roles of our CEO, and Australia's representative to the World Disability and Rehabilitation Professionals Association) submitted three "multilingual" videos for the WDRPA's New Year's message project. Our three girls did us proud today. Here is Cathy's message ...... "My passion for the disability industry, and being able to directly and indirectly help those in need, has grown since I have joined the team at Autism Central Coast. Having friends with children on the spectrum, I recently decided I wanted to wanted to work in this area and the opportunity to join Rosa Trigg and her team couldn’t be passed up. Rosa is Australia’s representative to the World Disability and Rehabilitation Professional Association, and I speak to you in Italian, as a proud and passionate member of our industry. Although I work in the accounts department, it is always a pleasure to walk through the building and see the great work done by our team, and to meet our happy clients. Our clients have a range of disabilities, and the caring nature of our staff is second to none. It is quite motivating to work with these outstanding young people clients and staff. It takes a special type of person to work with those who have a disability, and I believe that through working with our team, I have developed a new outlook on life. We believe in equality for individuals with Autism, special needs and disabilities and also their families. We believe they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and acceptance into our community as a full participant. We advocate community awareness and understanding of autism and to promote community involvement and support for individuals, families and carers. We also provide support services for individuals and their families with autism and special needs to ensure they have equal opportunities within the community. These are the objectives that have likened our organisation to the WDRPA, and why Mrs Trigg, is held in high regard globally. As an Italian woman whose family originates from Calabria in Italy, I encourage you all to learn from our ideals and experiences. I encourage you to share yours with us. Get in touch with the WDRPA. On behalf of myself, my family, Rosa and the team at Autism Central Coast, and the global community of the World Disability and Rehabilitation Professional Association, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year and a safe and prosperous 2021. We look forward to hearing from you."

14.01.2022 Congratulations to Amanda and Therese on being the inaugural winners of ACC's "Luke Awards". The awards are in recognition of ACC staff who go "above and beyond" from time-to-time to the betterment of ACC and our clients. They are named in memoriam after our dear friend Luke Staunton, and we thank Allanah for giving us her blessing to perpetuate his name alongside a staff recognition scheme.... Well done ladies, and thank you.
