This impressive Giant Travellery was caught on 10kg line and put up a fantastic fight. In fact, it would have been a National Record but unfrotunately, the rod snapped at the boat. 14.01.2022 We are off to explore the remote reefs of the Bismarck Sea onboard the MV Ultimate One! What a beautiful morning to start the adventure. About 400mn from Kimbe Town, we will be heading to these huge reef systems half way to Manus Island while making pit stops at the Vitu Islands. The reefs we are heading to, have a circulfrence of about 21km, so we won't be short of fishing grounds. Just check out the google image below for the sheer size of it!! We will be targetting big do...ggies, giant trout, marlin, sailfish and much more. We will keep you updated with more pictures when we return. 04.01.2022 I will never forget catching my first Black Bass at 12 years old.... The sun had long ago set and it was the last cast amongst the weedy banks of the Dagi River when an astounding surface hit exploded like a grenade! The loud sound in contrast to the rivers silence gave me such a shock, I screamed. It was a long battle of extreme pulling power, untangling out of weeds and arm stretches in between before it was successfully in the boat. I could barely lift the Black Bass to release it back into the water. From that moment, I knew exactly why these fish were at the top of everyone’s bucket list. Today, I LOVE working with my dad, Riccard Reimann at Baia Sportfishing and helping anglers from all around the world catch these legendary species for themselves.
