22.01.2022 The problem with car dealerships is you've already decided what you want to buy before you even go there, and you're really just going there to talk through some annoying negotiation. Elon Musk This week in #FlashbackFriday we shift our focus from the car manufacturing sites to the car sale sites along the Princes Highway, which - due to its high volume of traffic - has always been an ideal location for car yards.... This week’s photograph, taken in 1961, shows Robinson’s Motors on the Princes Highway, near the corner of Tabrett Street, Banksia. Most of the cars shown in this photo are no longer easily available in Australia, with the exception of the little Fiat 500 on the left-hand side. According to newspaper advertisements of the time, motorists looking for a used car in 1929 could have purchased the Fiat 509 Roadster Smart Model at Robinson’s Motors for 75. If a Fiat wasn’t suitable, Robinson’s was also offering a 1926 Deluxe Tourer Chevrolet for 75, a 1926 Tourer Deluxe Citroen for 60, a 1927 Deluxe Tourer Dodge for 165, or a 1926 Single Seater Ford (complete with electric starter and lights) for 22. This Site is now home to Supercheap Auto.

14.01.2022 , , , ' . Bing Cosby Greetings #FlashbackFriday readers. ... This week’s estate is the Grand View Estate, Arncliffe, sold by Richardson & Wrench in 1885.
