20.01.2022 What a weekend!!! Was wonderful to have a Melbourne buzz back in town and what a whirlwind. The last few days have all merged into one! We are well and truly baked ......(Sourdough baked of course) . We have just loaded our bakes online for next week after much checking and cross checking to cover as much as we possibly can for you all. If you’re keen for a home delivery next Wed or Sat in Inverloch or next Sunday in Wonthaggi or Cape then we recommend jumping online sooner... rather than later. 06.01.2022 The shaping and weight is so important with our Sourdough loaves. With each loaf resting in it's own 'bed' (banneton) for 24 hours it has to be just right. It's a relaxing process but a long one when producing a lot of loaves. In the Bearded Baker house it's time to turn the music up and focus. 04.01.2022 Just a short note to let you know which days we won’t be baking over the coming weeks. We’re taking a few days to spend with the kids then back on board in full capacity from 2nd January......I’m still trying to talk the Bearded Baker into firing up the oven for a special Fruit Loaf on Christmas morning but so far not getting the from him to wake up early to kick everything off. I think his concern is that he will possibly wake whilst still in the house......I might be lucky to get a lunch loaf.
