22.01.2022 Just had to post this amazing WAGOLL

21.01.2022 It’s been a busy start to 2020 in the art room! This week, Year 1’s have been viewing Aboriginal sand drawings and Dreamtime stories. Students then ventured outside to create their own sand drawings, whilst a partner took photographs/videos using an iPad. Some fantastic sand drawings were produced, as well as Year 1’s demonstrating amazing photography and videography skills! Very impressive!... Take a look at some of the student created videos. Well done Year 1’s!

18.01.2022 All monstered out, but just had to post this amazing work by a year 2 student. Such incredible attention to detail; so impressive Evie.

15.01.2022 Yakin 3 Showcasing a close-up of the variety & creativity shown by these students, most of whom embraced the challenge and included recycled materials. Work by: Olivia, Phoebe, Dexter, Chiara, Bella, Bernice, Kirra, Tyler, Alfie and Isla.

12.01.2022 Yonga students (Year 6) were challenged to think outside the box, and look at the world around them from a different perspective. Students needed to find letters of the alphabet within their surroundings, and use their technical skills to photograph these, and then crop their images accordingly. Take a look at some of their extremely creative photographs!

08.01.2022 It‘s Term 1, and for Year 4 students that means they have started making their own lanterns for the annual Joondalup Festival Twilight Lantern Parade! This year, we are extremely fortunate to have visiting artist Jodie Davidson join us in class for 2 weeks. Jodie is teaching some new techniques to students, as they construct a wearable headpiece frame using cane and masking tape. It was very busy in the art room with Jodie, helping hands from Ms Lyons, Miss Grimes and Mrs Le...tcher, and at one point, there was even a professional photographer in amongst the hustle and bustle! Students are already super excited about the parade! Stay tuned for more updates in the next few weeks.

07.01.2022 A belated post of the Year 4 distorted portraits to coincide with the current display in the admin foyer. If you haven’t checked it out get, it is definitely worth a look. These portraits were selected for display, but due to limited space, are now being showcased on Facebook instead. Today I showed the students how a cheap frame would make them an excellent gift for a family member

04.01.2022 Yakin 3 Student choice resulted in this clay monster theme. In order to offer a different slant on what the year 3’s we’re doing, year 4’s had the option of planning for, and including recycled materials, as seen in the work by James DeRosso.

04.01.2022 Year 1 photographs from their impressive sand drawing lesson!

01.01.2022 Nyingarn 2 Along with presenting their completed work on Seesaw, students also compared their design to the finished sculpture, reflected on changes, adjustments or additions, plus included the reasons for making them.
