23.01.2022 First Green Towel Awards for the season on Friday night (do we ever swim Thursday night?? Haaaaaa! Feels like Friday already .....) These are for the swimmers with the greatest improvement in their Personal Best (PB) times. Remember, the only person you need to beat is yourself - the rest is just fun!! 21.01.2022 Hi All. Just a reminder that the Club Championship day is fast approaching (Sunday March 10th) so if you havent done so already, you will need to nominate which events your child/ren are competing in. You will be able to do this tonight and you will find the nomination sheets at the BBQ. There is a cost of $1 per event.

19.01.2022 I would just like to thank everyone who came to todays Club Championship Day. I think the swimmers all had a great day and when the final results are published Im sure well see that there were many PBs achieved on the day. I would like to make special mention of Gary Hunt, who was our official on the day and Roger Postle who was busy recording times in the computer, neither of who have family members swimming at the club. Also, to those parents who helped make the day a s...uccess, helping with set up and pack up, time keeping and to Alison for again running the BBQ. These days just wouldnt be possible without the support of the many willing parents and Im sure youd all agree, the smiles on all the kids faces make it all worthwhile. Finally, to those parents who jumped in and took on the kids in the relay, well done. It certainly gave those of us standing on the sides a real spectacle.

18.01.2022 Please see latest release from Jac & Billy at Bellbowrie Pool. Learn to Swim stopped, Squad continuing (with social distancing) and Pool remains open at this stage. Bellbowrie Swimming Club executive will make a decision this week about Friday Night club swimming and whether we can meet Qld Dept Health Covid-19 guidelines. The 2019-2020 participation trophies will be given to all our fabulous Bullsharks - and perpetual trophies will be awarded, even if we dont have an end of season celebration.

17.01.2022 Fri 14th Swimming will continue. The first storm seems to have moved around and it is possible that more rain is on the way later tonight but as there are green towels to award it would be a shame not to continue while the weather is fine. If the rain starts would everyone please spend a little time running the chairs etc to the shed before running to your own car. Thanks

17.01.2022 Happy New Year to our Bellbowrie Bullsharks and families. We hit the water in 2020 on the first Friday of Term 1, Friday, 31 January. Sign on from 6pm and in the water at 6.30pm. All swimmers - all abilities. ... New to club swimming? Please come and have a trial swim night before signing up. Everyone welcome. We will be running 15m, 25m and 50m events in all strokes plus the 100m at the end of the night. Dont worry if you cant swim all strokes, just sign up for the ones you can and enjoy your time in the water. Cash BBQ or BYO meal. Volunteers run the club so please offer to help where you can - time keeping, BBQ cooking, packing up tables etc. Two towels per swimmer is recommended and parents should bring their own camp chair or rug to sit on. Bullsharks swim in the 50m pool - we do not have access to the 25m pool or the wading pools so please keep out of these. Parents are responsible for watching their children. 17.01.2022 Unfortunately the Community Pool Party schedule for this Saturday (22nd Dec 3-7pm) has been adjourned due to impending storms. However, the event will be continuing in 2019 on Saturday 19 January from 3-6pm. So please mark your calendars with the new date. 16.01.2022 With the Bellbowrie 50m Pool currently under refurbishment and not looking to be reopening until late December, the start of the Swimming Club season has obviously been delayed. We are currently negotiating with Kenmore State School to be able to use their 25m pool on a Friday night and once a few minor issues have been ironed out, we will be ready to go. Given this, please keep an eye on the FB page as we will provide updates as they come to hand.

15.01.2022 Hi all. Looks like we are finishing the season the way we started - rained out. The pool has closed on us due to lightning in the area and the staff are going home. Given this, tonights presentation will be transferred to the Bellbowrie Community Church. Upon arrival, please head up stairs. Also, thanks to John Gill for making this venue available to us at such short notice.

The BOM says the rain will ease this afternoon so stay tuned for a notice on whether the Bellbowrie Bullsharks will hit the water tonight. The notice will be issued by 5.00pm. ... The participation trophies and perpetual trophies will be delivered to your homes over the next week. We will drop them to your door, knock and move away so we all stay safe. ... 13.01.2022 Good evening Bullsharks. Tomorrow is the Community Pool Party and the Swimming Club is providing the sausage sizzle. At this stage though it is just Kate Holmes and her family actually doing the BBQ. The event is only running from 3pm till 6pm and it would be great if any members could help out, even for just an hour. If you are at the pool tomorrow with your children please stop by the marquee and help out, if for no other reason, than to allow Kates clan to have a toilet break or grab something to eat. Alternatively, a hand with pack up at 6pm would be greatly appreciated. This is a fundraiser for the club and its events like this that enable us to keep fees as low as possible. Thanks

As the swimming season is finishing earlier due to the pool closing, we have decided to cancel the movie night and run a full swimming program to give the children the maximum opportunity to practice before the Club Championship. Dont forget that we offer the first two Friday nights free for new swimmers to come along and see if club swimming is for them. So bring your friends. 07.01.2022 Hey Bellbowrie Bullsharks - thanks for a great, albeit, shorter season. Please see message from Pool Management below. The swimming club is able to refund a pro-rata amount of the clubs portion of season fees however, we doubt that Brisbane Swimming Association, Swimming Qld or Swimming Australia will refund their portion. Theres no harm in asking and we will do just that. Stay tuned. Trophies for participation will still be arranged but delivered to your home address rather than awarded at the pool. Thank you for supporting our club. See you and all your friends for the 2020-2021 season.

06.01.2022 If your child has won a ribbon or medal swimming at a carnival, be it a School carnival or one organised by one of the Swimming bodies, and you are happy for us to recognise their achievement, send through the information and a photo (if you like) and we can let our members know all about it. First up is Annika Kolomeitz. Annika is off to the States after qualifying 1st for the 50m Butterfly, 2nd for the 50m Freestyle and 3rd for the 50m Backstroke. Well Done Annika.

04.01.2022 The trophies are ready and everyone is wondering who will be named Club Champion. Well tonight you get to find out. Pizzas have been ordered for 6:15pm so should all be set and and ready to eat by 6:30pm. There should be at least one that is to your liking (I hope). Remember it is a gold coin donation for parents to partake and there should be more than enough to go round. Once all the children have been fed, we will get straight to the presentation. Finally, there is the option to jump in the pool for a bit of a free swim if you like.
