23.01.2022 Muddy play. Acclimatising to the chilly Melbourne weather although you wouldn't know it with the kids refusing to wear shoes outside today! Sticking close to home base as the kids have been sick with up to 40 degree fevers and yet during the day they are running around happy as Larry! Can't wait to get out and explore Melbourne once they are better!

21.01.2022 Our solution for a cheeky toddler who keeps climbing chairs to stand on the dining table. We also found her hiding in the top bunk after her bath as she kept running away from me when I tried to change her. Only 16mths old!!
20.01.2022 Kids happy, pantry cleaned out, dinner on the stove, kitchen a mess... And sun finally out just when we are going to eat dinner. Should we chance a picnic or will it rain again???

16.01.2022 So I am working on a new blog post and making some artwork to go along with it. Told you I enjoy doing this - the photo of the lion (which i took on my iPhone!!), editing and text is all mine. Just need to finish the blog post that is going to go with it, which will hopefully be up tomorrow.
15.01.2022 I dont put a lot of sharing up on my pages but if you are a parent and have more than one child this looks well worth the time watching not only is it free but the range of speakers is pretty awesome!

15.01.2022 This January I began a journey and committed myself to becoming what is called a peaceful parent. I started by completing a course run by Dr Laura Markham of ahaparenting.com. One of her strategies for connecting with your child/children is called special time... today I received my Mothers Day Card from Sydney. Feeling alot of gratitude and thanks at the moment...

12.01.2022 When your about to walk out the door and your toddler yells wait- proceeds to put down a DVD case and uses it as a skate board to get to the end of the room. where are your shoes, then proceeds to skate back to the other end of the room where said shoes are

07.01.2022 Little Miss climbed out of her cot and onto her dresser today, and so came down the side of her cot and up went the bed safety rail. She is growing up so fast!!
06.01.2022 Sugarloaf rock. Had a great hike with the kids down to the bottom then onto Eagle Bay and a swim swim at Meelup Beach. We also had the pleasure of being entertained by a pod of dolphins and then some whales which were putting on an amazing acrobatics show!
05.01.2022 Forgot to post this yesterday. Got the dreaded call from school in the middle of the day, Xavier had fallen and his tooth had pierced his upper lip. No stitches, just taped up and not allowed to get it wet until the tape falls off. Swollen and sore today Wonderful nurse and doctor at the Busselton hospital and great teachers at Vasse Primary school helped calm him down and be brave through all the blood- you dont realise how much that area bleeds

01.01.2022 This is something that has stuck with me today written by Dr Laura Markham of Ahaparenting.com Life sometimes feels like a battle, but our children are never the enemy. Yes, you are responsible for "teaching" your child to act right. But kids dont act right when we see them as "wrong." We need to hold onto a vision of our childs best self, for our child to act as that self. If we can manage our own emotions, we can find the good will to see our childs perspective. That d...oesnt mean we agree with her behavior, just that we see shes struggling, and we want to help her feel better, so she can do better. Once your child feels youre on her side, rather than out to control her, everything can shift. Then you might not even have to say a word to make miracles happen
