20.01.2022 The Annual Seniors Get-Away is an initiative for the spiritual health & growth of senior citizens. Angela is here today to talk about Bethel; who we are, our ethos and the charities we support. Angela will also be answering questions about at need and pre-paid funerals.

18.01.2022 Bruce has worked for Bethel for 10 years and has been in the funeral industry for about 15 years. Whilst starting out as a Funeral Director he has had many other roles including; Funeral Directors Assistant, Branch Manager, Transfer Care and Mortuary Technician. Currently he is one of our Funeral Directors and the Embalmer at our Springwood branch. Bruce loves meeting with families and helping them plan a meaningful farewell for their loved ones. When he works in the Mortuary... he appreciates knowing that he has prepared someone’s loved one in the best possible way. Bruce believes having a funeral service is important for family and friends as it is a great way to celebrate someone’s life and to share stories of their loved one. Providing a listening ear, comfort and reassurance for families in a time when they don’t know which way to turn is one of the ways Bruce is able to demonstrate love and compassion to families as part of his role. Bruce has a real passion for photography. On weekends and in his spare time, you’ll find him with his camera around the city streets of Brisbane, Southbank or in some of Queensland’s incredible National Parks to get some landscape shots. 17.01.2022 Because we are a not-for-profit, any funeral arranged through us continues to give-back. We are so proud that every person who arranges a funeral through us, actually leaves a legacy for their loved one. With your help, our profits are re-invested into humanitarian, community and mission work. Here’s a little bit more about our ongoing program.

17.01.2022 James been with Bethel for over 9 years. During this time James has worked in a variety of roles including Funeral Director, Finance, Advertising and Marketing. In his finance role he loves being able to see the impact Bethel has as a not-for-profit funeral company in which we can bless different mission organisations and community groups each year. As a Funeral Director he loves the variety that comes with the role and being able to assist families, supporting them at a time... they really need it. Showing love and compassion to families is an important part of what we do at Bethel, James knows that sometimes when meeting with a family to arrange a funeral, a warm handshake and eye contact might be all they need for them to know that we are there for them and that we care. James loves being in Melbourne where the very best coffee is to be found. If you can’t find him at a new local cafe on the weekend he might be out skateboarding, which is a relatively new hobby that he loves attempting with his two boys. See more

06.01.2022 Angela is a well-loved part of our team and has worked with Bethel for just over 5 years. During her 5 years with us she has been worked as a Funeral director and now works as the Team Leader for our Brisbane branch. As part of her Team Leader role Angela is active in promoting why it’s important to have funerals to various ministry groups and local community groups. When asked what she enjoys about her role and her work with Bethel Funerals Angela said being able to assist... grieving families when they have no idea where to start. Also being able to work for a not for profit Christian funeral company knowing that we can help turn sadness & grief into something that is also positive in the community. Within her role she demonstrates love and compassion to the families she serves by offering every component of a funeral service, so families really know all of their options. Using her creative skills to create unique & personalised services is something she also enjoys greatly. Angela’s go to coffee order is a Skinny latte, double shot! See more

04.01.2022 We are proud to be supporting Urban Life, as one of our Legacy Partners. Because we are a not-for-profit, any funeral arranged through us continues to give-back. That means your loved one’s funeral actually leaves a legacy beyond their passing. So, with your help, our profits are re-invested into humanitarian, community and mission work. Let’s hear from them about the difference we have made together.
