10.01.2022 One for the adventure riders, a review of the $199 Fusport Simpson boot. Fusport is an Aussie mob and only selling in Australia at the moment. All good so far, ...but I've only done half a dozen rides... I'll add long-term comments once I get over this back injury and way more mileage done in these boots. Disclaimer: There's always a trade off between protection and boots you can walk around in a lot. I see these as very 'light' adventure boots (e.g. a mix of bitumen and easy dirt roads), and always wear proper motocross boots for serious adventure riding. ------------- LONG TERM COMMENTS FROM OTHER RIDERS Half length Fusport, roughly 700km. Miss the shin protection in the rougher areas but are perfect for a pure roadbike rider. Seems to be a good waterproof boot after hitting a fair few puddles, very comfortable on the longer rides! So far I'm a big fan. The ease of walking makes up 10 fold the lack of protection that is only really necessary in the more nastier stuff. A.S. --------------- I own a pair riding in North Queensland, They fit well, good leather, tough soles and great tread pattern, very sturdy had a few get offs and mishaps and they're still in great shape. I'd recommend them. - J.K. -------------- New mx boots offer way better protection while still being able to walk comfortably. I had the fusports, had 2 holes in the leather after 3 rides. Wouldn’t ever cheap out on boots. E.F. ------------- I bought a pair back in about May 2018. Find them very comfortable and for the price, great.
