24.01.2022 Last week, our Regional Recovery Officer for southeast NSW Chris Clark visited ‘Bibbaringa’ near Bowna for a ‘Regenerating Rural Landscapes’ workshop. Since buy...ing this 950ha farm in 2007, Gillian Sanbrook has transformed it into a lush, productive, water-retaining property. Chris said, It needs to be seen to appreciate how actively-managed regeneration of the land, based on a conviction that we are all stewards of the land, can deliver ecological sustainability, farming profit and an enjoyable lifestyle. 06.01.2022 Water water every where how wonderful. The hydrography is full. It has been gently raining for the past few days. Most dams are at capacity and all the contours are holding and moving water through the landscape. I had to do a bit of tweeting but generally the levels are fairly good. Some contours have water flowing for the first time. They were constructed 3 years ago. Most of the tree brakes are absorbing water and holding moisture in the flood plain. I have to thank Peter... Andrews and all the people involved in teaching me about slowing the flow and healing the hydrograph. Even the drone had a flight today between showers. #naturalsequencefarming #australianlandscspes #regenerativeagriculture Bookings on line https://events.humanitix.com/digging-deeper-into-soils-2-da

06.01.2022 8 families HM group had a workshop with David Hardwick #soilfoodland this week. Looking at soil samples and analysing soil tests. 04.01.2022 My new toy -a drone It has been quite an experience. Flown it 3 times. First 2 successful landed, third lost recovered and had to lop a branch of a tree where ...it was comfortably landed by default. So I learnt the recovery process like following google maps to the tree then pressing the beep and flashing light mode and bingo found and retrieved eventually. Fun times ahead. And very glad I am not flying an aeroplane See more

04.01.2022 Out and about today. An amateurish attempt but an example of some damage from wombat intervention in what was a stable stream.
