25.01.2022 A knock down and rebuild in #thornbury with the very common overlooking issues. Everyone's building up these days so privacy for existing neighbours seems to be councils biggest concern. These issues have been addressed with custom horizontal aluminium slat screens with minimal transparency. 24.01.2022 So this was a nice size project for me. Next on the agenda was to take care of all the overlooking issues that all these knockdown rebuilds come across. The theatre room windows are now sporting these custom aluminium louvre screens with full frames for better aesthetics and extra strength. All the balconies were topped off with a similar louvre design and custom posts meeting the required height and visibility requirements.... 23.01.2022 When you're living in an apartment block and your outdoor space is taken up with air conditioning units you can either just live with it or engage Big T's Fencing to fabricate a solution.... Pretty easy choice I'd say! We fabricated some frames with perforated mesh on the front and sides for heat and air flow with a solid sheet on top to make it a usable space. 21.01.2022 The wow factor continues to the outside on this Reservoir project. Matt black Polaris hinges, spigots and fittings to take care of the glass pool fence. Just for something different I added a full custom floor to ceiling vertical rhs screen. Fully pool compliant and looks sensational.... 20.01.2022 How's the serenity When you live on a large property like this one, you definitely don't want your new pool fence blocking off or even interrupting your views and this is where Big T's Fencing excels. Pointed hardwood posts with a single routed groove really make a statement and with the full treated pine frame you know this fence will stand the test of time. A hot dipped galvanized fine wire mesh was selected for longevity and to achieve that "barely there" finish.... 17.01.2022 We quite often get asked to do parts of jobs where another trade or our clients want to do some of the work themselves. Of course we're more than happy to accommodate this as you can see on this job. The homeowners wanted automated gates to add to their new renovations so we came in with the custom gate frames and quality Italian motors. The builder was to clad them with the matching fence pickets afterwards. Galvanised steel frames, high quality automation and heavy duty cab...ling will give years of trouble free operation. 16.01.2022 Here's something a little different to your basic flat top tubular pool fence... The addition of the extra top rail just gives the design that extra little bit of kick. This one was far from your standard basic pool fence install, we've got angles, a deck, steps and over 150mm fall from end to end. Other contractors found this one a little too complex but not Big T's Fencing! If it can be done I'll find a way to do it, everytime! 16.01.2022 A rather large front fence competed in Ivanhoe. Slimwall from Modular Walls was selected for a number of reasons, design, price point and its acoustic reduction value is second to none. Heavily sloping block, angles and uneven ground would have been a nightmare for any other design but the adaptability of this product takes it all in its stride. The noise reduction as soon as you step inside makes you second guess that this is on a main road! Walls were left raw for my client... to paint or render at a later stage, even like this it still looks amazing! My clients wanted something a bit different to the standard cloth shade so we decided upon aluminium louvre screens fitted on custom triangle frames. 07.01.2022 Corner blocks have some advantages but also assume disadvantages. My client was fed up with people cutting the corner by waking through their front yard and something better looking than the standard timber paling side gates. A tubular aluminium design ticked all the boxes. We went with a double top rail design for the new fence and gates with the addition of some doggy bars to the gates so the fur babies can see what's going on. 07.01.2022 A flat top tubular pool fence which is far from standard with 3 level changes to be taken into consideration. Just another day for the highly experienced team at Big T's Fencing. Retaining walls and a raised garden edge required sums planning but we were still able to design the custom raked panels to line up with the standard ones to create a seamless finish once again. This installation consisted of a front deck, a large first floor balcony and an old staircase. Full custom design to suit the existing pipes and supports. 04.01.2022 Knockdowns and rebuilds are happening everywhere these days, an old weatherboard home in Mitcham has given way for 3 double storey townhouses which needed to have their stairs secured. Modern on the outside meant modern on the inside so a standoff frameless glass balustrade was selected. Custom raked to exactly follow the stringer held in place by solid stainless steel screws and bodies. Matched to an off the shelf panel for the landing. 04.01.2022 A grand new house deserves a grand balustrade to add the final touches to all the other quality fittings. A gorgeous floating timber staircase screamed out for the full custom offset glass and timber handrail. The matt black fittings go amazingly well with the stained timber. We continued the theme onto the void with matt black spigots and the continuous handrail.... All in all this was a stunning design and certainly catches the eye!
