24.01.2022 Hot off the forge: New design ear cuff. Made from 1mm round 100% recycled .925 sterling silver wire. Light weight and comfy to wear.

23.01.2022 Hot off the forge! Sterling silver rosette ring. This cute little ring is suitable for all occasions. I made this ring to match some little stud earrings I did a couple of months ago, but the ring turned out so much nicer that I think Im going to have to make another pair of earrings now...

22.01.2022 Cant compete with Mother Nature! Check out this amazing copper replacement agate - just doesnt look real - parts of it look like it belongs on a computer chip or a borg or maybe its a sci-fi finger print! These are a rare form of natural agate that is only found on the Keweena Peninsula, Lake Superior, Michigan. Another one for the Pool Room. sigh... ;-)

22.01.2022 Dedicated soldering station, away from the madness that is Marks shed! Yay... And this one WILL STAY TIDY!!!

22.01.2022 Marks "Question Mark" pendant has been included in an Etsy treasury! It would be better if someone bought it (ha ha) but its always an honour to be included in someones published lists. check it out here. https://www.etsy.com//treasury/NDYzMDg3NTN8MjcyNTQyMjg4Nw/x

22.01.2022 New simple little wire wrapped sterling silver heart ring. Very comfortable to wear and fairly robust for being so delicate! https://www.etsy.com//288/wire-wrapped-heart-ring-recycled

20.01.2022 Well, it's been a while since my last post... things have been pretty crazy. Covid-19 has totally impacted our little hobby jewellery business! Lots of people in lock down, Aussie dollar is weak, which means increased sales... who'd have "thunk" it. Totally crazy... International shipping however is taking around 7 weeks, it used to take 2. During this busy time, I'm not getting much time to work on new designs. So, I turned to some of our best selling simple designs a...nd re-purposed them into these sweet and dainty stacking necklaces. https://www.etsy.com//809576499/dainty-layered-necklace-se and https://www.etsy.com//796193790/dainty-layered-necklace-ch hope this works, the whole world seems to have changed in the last 6 months... stay safe xox See more

19.01.2022 Finally listed "this ole thing". One of the first pieces I made in silver... Of course it would be made to order - Im not actually selling mine! ;-) https://www.etsy.com//heart-and-swirls-ring-chunky-filigre

17.01.2022 Aint mother nature grand? Hows this stunning arrangement of flower like scepters of amethyst. Image courtesy of Pala Minerals website Photo by Jeff Scovil Size: 3.3 x 2.2 x 1 cm Country: India Locality: Madras... Ive said it before and Ill say it again - this one is going straight to the pool room!

16.01.2022 A different take on my current yin and yang exploration - sterling silver yin and yang link bracelet - Ive been wearing it every day now for some time and its really very comfortable. Its made from 16 guage round wire so its also very robust. Since the photos were taken I have also soldered all the links for extra strength. https://www.etsy.com//yin-yang-bracelet-silver-chain-brace

15.01.2022 Can't compete with Mother Nature! Check out this amazing copper replacement agate - just doesn't look real - parts of it look like it belongs on a computer chip or a borg or maybe it's a sci-fi finger print! 13.01.2022 I know Halloween is an American tradition but I just couldnt resist putting up this photo of a cute little Jack-O-Lantern pendant that I made a couple of years ago that looked really creepy whilst in the making stage. Pictured above in our natural alternative to chemical... "salt and vinegar" pickle that we use to clean fire scale off our pieces.

13.01.2022 Hot off the Forge! Mark has been busy this week with a couple of new offerings. The first is a mixed metal bracelet with a shape that he calls a "Squid sucker" (now that all the tools and jigs have been made for this shape in varied sizes, some new jewellery should be seen...), he has also coated the inside of the copper with pewter to make it a "skinsulate" coating to stop the skin blackening from the copper, another first that we know of and will be utilised in future. The second is a venture into a new mixed medium - timber and silver... both are in-keeping with our recycling ideals and is an idea that has been brewing for a while, he certainly likes the look, and it can be worn in two ways as hes cleverly hidden the wire ends so its reversible... what do you think?

12.01.2022 Tool Time: the jewellers saw - this little saw is used for cutting shapes out of sheet metal, be it silver, copper or brass. Oh, I think you can use it for gold too, if you can afford it that is! lol. Check out the tiny little blade. It measures 0.6mm x 0.3mm. How insanely small is that? Way finer than dressmakers pins. This particular blade is an all-purpose no. 2 blade. It has 44 tiny T.P.I. (teeth per inch) or 17 teeth per cm. I cant even imagine how they can be made so small. They are very easy to break. Get through a complicated piece of cut-work without breaking one and you do a little fist pump and say "whos the best!"... and then you break it as you hook it on your bench peg (timber stand the starfish is being cut on in photo 4) putting it down... :-/

12.01.2022 Heres Marks latest - hot off the forge! ;-) It has symmetrical spirals, which was really very tricky of Mark! A great everyday cuff for men, with a comfortable ergonomic design. Available in all sizes with a brass version on the way.

12.01.2022 Also received these beautiful AA quality lapis lazuli cabochons... they are untreated and are a gorgeous dark blue with small gold flecks - cant wait to set them. While anticipating their arrival, Ive been madly designing settings for them - now have more designs than stones though! ;-)

11.01.2022 Congratulations to Caloundra Lapidary Club members for another successful show day! Well done people - now its time to relax!

11.01.2022 This weekends orders all ready to package up - but whats with all the snakes???

10.01.2022 Another variant on my yin and yang symbol exploration, this time with mother of pearl coin beads. Turned out very bridal looking... What do you think? https://www.etsy.com//bridal-bracelet-mother-of-pearl-brac

07.01.2022 Rose gold arrived for a commission... We just have to work out some design challenges and then give it shot! Very exciting - first time working with gold - hopefully, itll be a success.

07.01.2022 Well, its been nearly 12 months since Mark had a stroke, so nearly 12 months since my last post... About time I got back to work then!!! ;-)

07.01.2022 Oooh, "straight to the pool room"! Gorgeous...

07.01.2022 Love to have a happy customer! Heres an email we received from a customer upon receiving one of Marks pewter creations. Sweet! https://www.etsy.com//leaf-pendant-leaf-statement-necklace

05.01.2022 Ain't mother nature grand? How's this stunning arrangement of flower like scepters of amethyst. Image courtesy of Pala Minerals website Photo by Jeff Scovil Size: 3.3 x 2.2 x 1 cm Country: India Locality: Madras... I've said it before and I'll say it again - this one is going straight to the pool room!

04.01.2022 Just finished a custom order for a large pair of double hoop earrings like my "ole faithfuls". I think I might just have to make myself a pair as soon as I get the chance...

03.01.2022 Latest design, Simple elegant twisted circlet pendant. The hardest bit was twisting the wire evenly... no, maybe the barely visible solder join was harder... then again, getting it so nice and round was a bit of a challenge too... lol... https://www.etsy.com///twisted-silver-circle-necklace-open

02.01.2022 Hot off the Forge! New on-trend sterling silver fashion earrings. They are very comfortable to wear and they look pretty cool - even if I do say so myself! ;-) They will be available in a few different wire guages to suit different sized piercings.

01.01.2022 Currently exploring the Yin and Yang form... I studied Tai Chi for about 15 years so this symbol is close to my heart... here is our new Hearts and Swirls Earring Collection - for more details visit our etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/BijouterieOz?ref=hdr_shop_menu
