23.01.2022 Wonderful comments from 'Bonnie' a visitor who just 'popped in' for a visit yesterday.

23.01.2022 One of the things almost everyone who visits Birdworld Kuranda comments about is the amazing variety of birds we have, and the vibrant colours of their plumage. Another delightful feature is their fascinating songs and vocalisations. Our Chattering Lorries are a perfect example, with their captivating little voices. When you visit, do allow yourself enough time to relax and take in these small natural wonders. To make the most of a nature filled day out, try our Kuranda Wildlife Experience three park pass. #chatteringlorries #birdworldkuranda #kurandatradersinc #kurandawildlifexperience #kurandawildlifexperience #athertontablelands #goodtogo Explore Tropical North Queensland Discover Atherton Tablelands

22.01.2022 If you're planning to check out Kuranda Village Twilight Trading, our friendly staff will be on hand at Kuranda Koala Gardens entrance to sell gifts plus our Wild Card annual passes.

22.01.2022 It's World Kindness Day but we're asking you to show kindness to our feathery little friends EVERY day. Living in FNQ means we are surrounded by wildlife and who's childhood didn't include finding an injured bird we nursed. This isn't always the best choice so we're telling you what do I do if you find an injured bird. If you need to rescue an injured or abandoned wild baby bird then it is crucial to keep it warm, in a dark, quiet, draft-free location until immediate, qualif...ied help is available. Do not attempt to force water into the bird's mouth as the young bird will likely choke and the complications could prove fatal. Who should I contact? Please contact your local veterinarian or the following associations immediately for directions to the qualified rehabilitators nearest you. RSPCA Queensland Phone: 1300 264 625 #birdworldkuranda

22.01.2022 We don't have a poppy for Remembrance day but a splash of red from our beautiful Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo instead. Lest we forget

21.01.2022 Gosh we are just so grateful for the fabulous feedback and support from our visitors at the moment. Review of the week... If you love birds this is a place you absolutely must go to. They have a wide variety of species including some exotic birds. They are very tame and will fly over and sit on you, especially the four beautiful Macaws they have. Entry is only $19 also but I would have happily paid $50 as it is far better than even the Singapore bird park. Obviously if you a...re a bit scared of birds I wouldn’t recommend it because they will jump on you and say hello. Don’t bring any jewellery or anything that they would chew because the macaws are cheeky and intelligent and will happily steal/destroy whatever they can (mums phone case magnet was promptly removed and another woman had an antique gold ear ring stolen and destroyed). Little kids may get scared also so keep that in mind. Recommended you buy the $3 bag of bird food which has seeds, nuts, grapes and corn for the birds, but the best part is the macaws will go straight for the bag and tear it open to get the almonds while sitting on you. I had an amazing time and the birds were gorgeous.

10.01.2022 For all our feathered fans, there will be a free guided birdwatching tour at the Botanical Gardens this week.

10.01.2022 The personality of our beloved Alexandrine Parakeet Very gentle and calm. The Alexandrine Parakeet can be very peaceful, not usually the bully type bird! Despite its large size for a medium sized parrot, and very large beak, it can be intimidated by a smaller and more aggressive bird. The female on the other hand, can be quite territorial and aggressive when she has reached maturity, if she is challenged and hormonally charged ... #kurandavillage
