15.01.2022 It was great to hear that the NSW Government will provide a further boost to our sector by increasing the threshold above which stamp duty will be charged on ne...w homes for first home buyers. This concession will increase to $800,000 with a sliding scale for homes up to $1 million for the next 12 months. This is a part of the Governments COVID-19 Recovery Plan and an acknowledgement about the important role the residential construction sector will play in NSW’s economic recovery. Both the Premier and Treasurer are applauded for listening to our calls for greater industry’s support in this space.

14.01.2022 Pro Tip Of The Week I see this all the time, generally not on projects we are directly involved with but DIY'ers and home renovators. Its common to see people have the bathroom or kitchen renovations completed straight away with the idea of doing extensions and further renovations down the track. The problem is that to extend or renovate a house often leveling or foundation works are required. If you already have bathrooms, kitchens or dry wall works completed that may be ...a real problem. leveling the house creates lots of movement and can cause cracking of tiles and dry wall. Remember, start at the bottom!! We work hand in hand with the trusted professionals in town @newcastle_house_levelling These guys have been underpinning and leveling houses for generations.
